Congrats | 5:43 a.m. May 22, 2009
It was a lot of fun lining the fence for this showdown. Few things though, not to be rude but i will repeat what all the kids and parents are saying: Tori did an awesome job, but the MVP should have gone three ways- Tori, Cienna and Megan should have all three shared it. All three were leaders and led the team to the victory. oh and hey megan next time hit the ball three more feet-it would have cleared the fence to the boys ha ha.

this was the best tournment bingham has had in a few years. the game of the season was wednesday night though when megan manned up. balls of steel haha. plus bingham bats rocked more than all season. im proud to be a miner!!!!

Congradulations Bingham. It's great seeing Tori add another MVP award. #12 could not be more proud of you! Three in a row will put Bingham with the great Alta teams and the earlier Bingham teams. Not bad company to be in. Like those other great teams you won with class!

Miners Strike Gold -again! | 8:49 a.m. May 22, 2009
I never thought they could top what they accomplished last year, but then there was this whole incredible season, and that first game against Viewmont on Wednesday (which for the spectator, made it better than an ice hockey game with Viewmont's coach using the f-word on the ump after the last play of the game.) These tenacious Miners all work together beautifully, and they have oh so much talent, but what makes them keep on winning is that none of it has gone to their head. They respect each team they face -they know they have an equal chance at getting beat. They know hard work and they are not afraid of using it. It's great to be the champs, but so much more satisfying knowing that they really, really earned it -two times in a row! Congratulations to the Bingham Miners Softball players and to their equally hardworking coaches!
So proud...... | 9:10 a.m. May 22, 2009
Way to go Lady Miners!! You stepped it up big time when you needed it most and always kept your composure when things weren't always going your way. Great tourney and you are all MVP's in my book. You are a great bunch of girls and I have loved working with you these last couple of years. Thanks for allowing me to be a part of this experience. We will miss you seniors:-( As for the rest of you, we expect you to do great things next year. Enjoy the moment because nobody can take this away from you. It was a great "CLIMB". Great job coaches. Add another banner Blake to the list.
GOOOOO MINERS!!

Such a Sweet Finish | 11:26 a.m. May 22, 2009
These tenacious girls know hard work and aren't afraid to use it. They allow their equally hardworking coaches to mold their raw talent into all the skills they need to make it happen. And, boy do these girls have the skills! They also really know that they are a team. But what really makes them win the games is the fact that it doesn't go to their heads. With each team they face, they know they have an equal chance at getting beat. Winning it is great, but earning it is so much more sweeter. Congratulations on a well earned victory.

Lay off our coaches. Only difference between our coach swearing and any other coach is someone heard our coach. Congrats to Bingham, They are a great team and a pleasure to watch. These were the two best teams in 5A all year with the two best pitchers (although Ostler from Syracuse is right up there and is the future of Utah softball with Megan Peay). Great games all week.

Entertainment at it's finest. Watching the Bingham Ladies work at being the best, not only on the field but off. If you know Tori, off of the field, you would know that if it was up to her the entire team would be MVP's. One hit and one great catch can change the whole ballgame. It truly takes a team to do what you did. Everyone of you stepped up your game to do what you came to do. Hard work always pays off. You gals are something else.

What team does Ostler and Peay pitch for in the summer?

About time we get off our 2nd place streak and finally win one.
