I was at the game tonight. Congrats to Bingham and VHS. A great game by two great teams. I'm excited to see more tomorrow.

As a Bingham Parent, I could not be more excited to see a game like this! Viewmont is an awesome, well rounded Senior DDriven team that is awesome. I was most proud to hear our right fielder and game MVP, Meghan Herrick, give credit to her teammates for getting her around the bases. "Cheese talked me through my batting, she said everything perfect. She inspires me. THen she got on base and moved me. Then Rachel got up and before all that Ciera, our third baseman inspired me too! I didn't do this alone. My whole team won this game" Now THAT is Leadershi8p in it's rarest form!

You got that right! Her team won the game, not her decision making on the bases. Red pitched the game of her life! Wouldn't have made it through the game without her performance on the mound. We have lady luck on our side again. It's better to be lucky some times.

luck is the word, the pitching was fine but your player on third won the game for you. put it the way you like the r4eality is she outran our girl and dived the tag at home. how many times at state do you see that? never. in fact i dont know how many times you hear of someone stealing 2,3 then home in a state tournament. i wonder if its been done? hats off, your team deserved the win wednesday then again last night. we are still proud of our girls, they are awesome!
Final Thoughts | 10:54 p.m. May 24, 2009
Congrats to BOTH teams! Can't say I was overly rooting for Bingham after beating our girls, but then Viewmont beat us too to go on to the finals. We came for the finals thinking it would be close, but it really wasn't. The pitching was solid from Bingham. The player who stole home the night before had a hit that almost hit the back fence, scored I think 2-3 runners and busted the rest of the game open. I don't know why the two pitchers and that girl didn't share MVP? Didn't the redhead pitch the game to start the night before too? Odd to us fans, but I suppose that is one of those rather political things of who is who. Regardless, hats off to the TOP 4 teams who made it this year. We are proud of ALL of you!
