I would like to see DeJuan Blair in a Jazz uniform before Tyler Hansbrough. DeJuan Blair has a bigger body and can be physical, thats what we need especially after the first round series with the Lakers.

neff

Although a bit undersized, Blair would be a BEAST down low. Please let him fall to #20!

The Jazz better draft him. They need a winner in the locker room! Not to mention someone who plays with passion and heart. Plus the addition of a Tar Heel might add some incentive for Boozer "Krane Kick" (No can defense) Boozer to opt out or at least agree to a sign and trade.

JJ

He'd certainly help keep the Jazz as the NBA's whitest team. The reason he's a popular Jazz mock pick is because the Jazz are ALWAYS suckers for the clean cut white boy who always ends up a bust. Ostertag, Borchart, Koufos, et al..

pbpm

Boozer and 1st round pick to Clippers for rights to Blake Griffin. We make this move, we win the title in 3 years.....GUARANTEED!!!! Sloan is always talking like Lebron, Kobe, D-Wade are just too much to guard, well coach here is your chance to get a big, strong kid who does'nt shy from contact and WILL SCORE ON ANYONE in this league!!! Dwight Howard......say hello to Blake Griffin's dunks over you!!!

Re: JJ

Koufos shouldn't be on your bust list. He's only been with the team for one year.

The small amount of time he did play convinced me that the Jazz need to give him more playing time.

You can declare him a bust if at the end of his rookie contract (3 years) he's not averaging 8 points and 5 rebounds a game.

For now, let's cut Koufos some slack. I think he shows a lot of promise. It wasn't his fault Sloan decided to bench him in favor of Collins. Which I consider a mistake.

Re: pbpm

Uh ... excuse me but it's Boozer's decision to decide if he wants to opt out of the final year of his contract.

The Jazz can only trade Carlos if he decides to stay.

I'd love to have Griffin on the Jazz roster. But there are just too many things that would have to fall into place to pull it off.

As much as I don't care for Boozer's defense, character and comments. Trading away a 20/10 guy for an as yet unproven rookie is risky. Plus, what else would the Jazz have to take back to make the trade work?

But what the heck ... "Fortune favors the bold."

At least the Jazz would be trying something different. At the rate they've been backsliding, they may not make the playoffs next season.

Koufos got the young player shaft that Jerry falls into all to often. Sure Koufos is young and has a ways to go, but it's not like he would have hurt a title run. The Jazz let Jerry convince them that they will win more now with vets. NOT ALWAYS TRUE! C'mon, Jaron Collins over Koufos. Develope somebody without the freakin' D-league as your only outlet. I wonder where Morris Almond ends up in a few years. FREE THE KOUF!!

die hard

Just get us a guy who can play SOME "D" in the paint.
Who cares what happens to Boozer! No loyalty at any point in his career, even coach K wouldn't use him in the olympics. His college coach.
Don't build the Jazz around him? He isn't the guy.

Joe

Henderson is the man he reminds me of a better shooting Ronnie Brewer he is a great defender, a solid shooter, and he crashes the boards similar to Ronnie not quite as well in that department but overall i believe Henderson would be the guard the Jazz have always needed

Curtis Borchardt, Part II

Tyler Hansborough

Best case scenario: a taller and equally capable Matt Harpring.

Worst case scenario: labors in the D-league and doesn't play a single game for Utah.

Likely scenario: the next Curtis Borchardt or Jarron Collins, but shorter.

Re:JJ

You forgot Stockton and Hornacek

nottyou

Dream on...the Jazz will get another Luther, and will not pay the price to make it deep into the playoffs for a long time.

TMONEY

First pbpm your idea is nice, but even the Clips aren't stupid enough to do that. We would have to trade half our team to get Griffin.

I like Hansborough, but what about Ty Lawson we need a backup point guard. Lawson has proven that he can get to the basket and he can shoot I think he is the most underrated player in this draft by far. He is shorter than the points guards at the top, but he is also a better shooter than all of them. At times you could have him on the floor with DWill at the same time both would be capable of dribble penetration. I think Lawson could really relieve some burden from DWill.

I wouldn't mind seeing us get both Hansborough and Lawson. There is a trade somewhere that would work.

J-Dub

Thabeet is the man!!! If Jazz trade up for Thabeet that would give us the shot blocker inside we have always needed

Forget The Draft

Trade the picks you get and the Knick pick! Rookies and young players don't fit the "Slown" system. Dream on fans, they won't do anything. This is a "head in the sand" organization.

Cowboy Joe GORTAT

First off Hornacheck never was a first round draft choice of the Jazz. So you can't call him a clean white guy the Jazz drafted. Secondly, I would prefer the Jazz drafted an athletic tough wing like a Sam Young. They need a good 3. Finally I would rather see the Jazz go after Gortat he is very active, of Orlando than draft a big man like Hansbrough. Gortat the next Jazz big man get it done Kevin

Jazz Man

Please, please, please, draft an athlete!

Hansborough is another Utah Jazz stereotype and that is why these sportswriters are mocking him to the Jazz. Obviously, what we need most is athleticism, length and defense. Hansborough has none of these things. Although Blair is very short, he has a 7'2" wingspan and has great post moves. If he can keep his weight down, he could be a second coming of Milsap. I am most intrigued by Austin Daye. He is kind of raw, but his athleticism and length are off the charts. He can do everything on the court, he just needs a little time to grow up, but it will come.

Just for fun, we know the Clips want to get rid of Kaman's contract, so how about a sign and trade, Boozer and next years' Knicks pick for Kaman and the rights to Blake Griffin. What do you think?

Observation-ist

Can we please have a discussion about drafting someone who can play DEFENSE. The discussion always centers around how the player will do offensively. We need to draft a defensive-minded small forward so we can trade AK for a post presence. I'll take my offense from Deron, our 2 guard, and the power forward position.

Don't draft him

Please don't draft Hansboro. HE IS THE 2009 VERSION OF MARK MADSEN! This draft is point guard heavy....let Brevin Knight go and pick up a point guard.
