about this article: first, the article vaguely alludes to all the healthcare we are forced to pay for that illegals receive. IF the state REALLY wants to help out the budget they would pass the laws necessary to get the illegals OUT! Reducing class size and giving jobs to our own citizens would be an added benefit!
Second, since the feds raised the cig. tax more and more people are quitting, and/or having them shipped in from states with VERY LOW tax. BTW - even though our esteemed legislature tried to outlaw shipments from other states, it is UNENFORCABLE, much like a lot of the "feel good" laws that they pass. If the state does decide to raise the cig. tax again they could very well wind up with LESS revenue than a year ago! What us nonsmokers should be thinking about is if they raise the cig. tax and don't get the revenue they expected who do you think they're going to go to next? Once the state starts counting on that revenue, and doesn't get it they'll just go to some other source, just like they did vehicle reg. last year!
Very helpful information!
Thank you indeed!
