SHAME ON SANDY CITY. They are hurting for money but are going forward with an unnecessary "beautification" project.
What a waste of money, especially during such rough times. At least spend the money on a park, like the one that should have been where Wal-mart now stands. Or do something with the eye-sore that once was Fred Meyers, or Albertsons. Or maybe those proposed community centers, that would be huge benefits to the community. Something useful that everyone will benefit from and use, not just to look at.
Instead Sandy City, will continue to tear up perfectly fine sidewalks, and dump money into a bunch of trees and plants, that in a couple of years will become too much to keep up on and will eventually become another eye sore, or torn out due to some drought.
