The orthopedic staff in Grand Junction must love Moab.
Not to mention the flight team ... $15,000 of more for that flight
They probably do love Moab. I live in Moab and all the hospital here is....another place to run up bills and fly people out for better care than they will get here. Seems like they get trigger happy when someone is sick. Recently a baby had the flu. Regular old flu. They called for Med Flight and sent the baby to SLC. Here they didn't know what was wrong with the baby. Probably saved his life sending him up there, but now the young parents have a very large bill that could have been avoided if there was decent medical care here.
Perhaps, since bicyling is so dangerous, we ought to outlaw it. That always seems to be the governement way of handling things.
Canada and Britian don't have medi-vac choppers. Saves a lot of money.
