Nice article, but too bad the Ute's season will be OVER this week....

TCU will WIN another MWC championship, without even facing Utah, 'cause BYU will knock them out of the tournament.

Losing 9 out of 11 games, mid season, must have really HURT?

SEE YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!

Just like last year....we will eliminate the Zoobs right off the bat (nice bun) and advance to the championship game.

It's funny, but the Zoobers are always trying to beat us in football, basketball and NOW baseball.

TOUGH LUCK ZOOBERS!!!!!
Just another sport we will BEAT you in!!!!!

As a true CougarBlue fan, I have to admit I am really worried about a team that has 8 wins and 16 losses in conference play and 21 wins against 28 losses for the season.

Yea right.

Define, "the best baseball of the season" for me? Does that mean instead of only winning 33% of your games, the runnin pukes are going to win 40% during Tourney time??

Or maybe 45%. Here is your solace yewt fans: At the end of Tuesday you will be 50% of your way back home. 0-2 isn't bad, afterall, after traveling to San Jose State and then on into Oregon, your beloved football team will also be 0-2 to start the 09/10 Football season!
Go Utes! | 1:20 p.m. May 18, 2009
Utes take out BYWho, advance to take out TCU, face SDSU without Strasburg who beat UNM the day before, Utes advance to face TCU in the championship. Take out TCU in one game and punch a ticket to the NCAA. Head to Tempe to face ASU as a #4 seed.

My only advice to BYU is this: "Defeat awaits those who stray, dreaming of victories won yesterday." I'd be a little concerned that the odds may catch up to you. Utah is due for a good game against the boys in blue. GO UTES!!

I watched Shimada play a couple of times this year. He is a talented ball player. However I do not expect the Utes to do well in the conference tournament.

Wow, ya gotta love that train of thought - Utah baseball is less than stellar (always has been - no earth-shattering news there...), and so that's somehow going to translate to the football field in September?
RE: Go Utes! | 4:02 p.m. May 18, 2009
Yeah, the cry baby Zoobers are already looking for excuses on this one. After Tuesday when the mighty UTES win, the Zoobs will head back to Happy Valley

GO MIGHTY UTES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

NEWS FLASH
It is a double elimination tournament and the Utes have NEVER been in the MWC championship game. BYU, on the otherhand has been in 5. By the way did you see the BYU mens track team just won their tenth straight championship and the BYU womens team just one their eigth out of ten. Man I am glad I'm not a Ute, losing all the time must really get tiring.

congrats on the track championships! I will go start making the oatmeal cookies and green jello...

i am probably going to cry myself to sleep every night knowing my Utes cant seem to pull off a track championship...I didn't know we even had a track team, but that really breaks my heart...I mean football, basketball (boys and girls), and gymnastics, which draw the largest crowds, mean nothing now...

I really hope we can turn that track team around...I guess having 20 out of the 25 runners in each race would give us pretty good odds of winning the team title...

Cherry picking your sports? Go ahead and check out the MWC championships in all the sports for the last ten years. Utah is pretty much a no show, but you already know that.
