Is Jerry Sloan influence now going to the pitch? Wet Noodle Kreis now acts like Sloanie and his "sloanaholics" put it mostly on the players.

Gee what a shock!!!

Stubborness. Morales was good in support I hear with good scoring chances, "but" like i said last week...you can take your "one striker" 4-5-1 and flash it down the john.....Well unless Kreis comes out of retirement.

Reading the report of the game and I will admit I did not watch it appeared the bulk of the scoring chances came either on Wizards defensive slip-ups or off set piece times or from throw ins, not with the run of play....

Yuri has been blasted. I will tell you what, if this guy is your lone striker? hee hee

I know he beat a good Chivas team last year. However, 13 goals in 63 games going into this year, although young it reminds me of Nicholas Bendtner for Arsenal, young, with talent but not always a great finisher. This guy is change of pace, part time starter but not to rely on especially in 4-5-1.

Maybe Jared Collins will play up front.

A couple of questions

First, how is attendance of 19,300 a sellout in a stadium that seats over 20,000? Second, for anyone who was there to see this wild and ferocious game of FOUR shots on goal for each team, were there REALLY that many people there?

Howard S.

How's this for a headline?

"Real Reeks at Rio Tiento."

answers to a couple of question

Yes, there were that many people there and it is a sellout because some seats have been temporarily removed in the south goal area for the concert stage.

14 shots for RSL and 13 for KC.

In a few years when Real is out of business we will have an empty taxpayer monument as a leagacy of Huntsman

real can't win in front of a big crowd, so if maybe if half the people stop coming we'll win. Plus we need to get rid of half the refs. The ref at my indoor league is much better than most of the refs in the mls.

RE: todd

4-5-1 what are you talking about? Kreis played the usually 4-4-2 last night and only used the 4-5-1 against chivas to try something new on the road. next time dont blast something you know nothing about

I am very disappointed in the performance of the team last night. I just sat in my PAID seat shaking my head. If I see one more over the top ball I am going to walk out of the stadium.

Fedor

I realize everyone frustrated right now, tell me about it. I try and take in my trumpet to game and was told to put it back by nice ticket man. At this time the fire not burning so brightly in hearts of RSL players, but I would rather eat rotten cabbage and Okroshka than turn back on this team now when they need us most. A crowd of 19,000 strong needs to stand on feet and put their soul into inspiration of RSL players. We can win game for them if they hear our cheers and chants. It will penetrate their kicking foot to blast one past the opposing keeper and we will know that it was our words and cheering that inspired victory. We have two tough road games coming, lets not lose hope now. On June 6th carnival Real will be as grand as it has been with David Archulinko in town. I will be with the south siders cheering on the team with my scarf, shinguards, flag of Bolivia, mouthguard and flares. (no trumpet) Goooooooooo goooooo gooooooo RSL, Goooooooooo gooooooo goooo all the way. It's STILL our year!!!

todd on re: todd

fine i apologize. The reports were wrong it mentioned on two sites 4-5-1.,that will not happen again without knowing.

Look I wish you guys luck. I live in LA but hate the "know it all" arrogant LA Galaxy, we need Salt Lake to do well in this league, however having watched Yuri especially with Kansas City i do not see him as one of your go to strikers if you guys are going to consistently score. DC UNITED is going to be a very difficult game to even get a point out of especially at RFK

Keep the fatih

Good thoughts Fedor. The team is down right now and hopefully can find some form on the road with only one game of the next five in Rio Tinto.

The fans need to show up at that one match in early June and enthusiastically let the team know we are still behind them. The new Latin based support group in the South end is doing a great job generating enthusiasm for the team and hopefully others will follow their example.

oh well

Maybe it's good Channel 2 won't let us watch them.

RSLFANINCALIFORNIA

1 bad streak doesn't make a season! Our stupid diamond formation kills us though!! No wing play and no possession through the midfield?? Just long ball after long ball after long ball... without a true # 9 to put his head on the ball we have no reason for wing play either. I think Kreis and his staff have done good to get us where we are, but i think we need a change of direction. I remember being at the game when RSL knocked Chivas out of the playoffs and a Chivas fan came up to me and said, "It's sad you guys are representing the west... you have no songs, you have no passion, your team needs that to push them along" I saw that tonight against KC. 95% of our fan base sits on their fat arse waiting for something to happen. result... morales, mathis, johnson, beckerman making lazy pass after lazy slow pass and walking around. There was no rhythm to the game.

We can be very good as we have a lot of talent! We just need the culture and inspiration from us fans. GO RSL!!!

That's just great...

AT this rate, RSL will never defeat Manchester United.

to that's just great

No MLS team will every beat my Manchester United and Manchester United is going to win another Champions League on the 27 go Man U.

4+ Years Not a Slump

In 4 years this team has only 1 winning streak to its name which put it in last years conference finals.......where they put up yet another of their famous goose eggs.

This team has been a complete failure at every level - ownership, management, coach and players. Look at Chivas who entered the league at the same time and is light years ahead in club development.

This team is a terrible excuse for a Soccer Franchise in an area full of Latin influence and return missionaries that learned to love soccer abroad who would love to support a local soccer team......just not the LA Clippers of the MLS.

@to that's just great

LOL, you're not even a real "Man U" fan. Let me guess, you also like the Yankees or the Red Sox. Who's going to be the next 30 million pound signing for your team?

A Real Soccer Fan

Why do you allow all these nasty comments, but I send in an insightful comment about off sides and goals, and supporting our team and you don't post it. Whats the deal?

todd from santa ana

By the way I want a couple people to comment on this? Did they really play 4-4-2 last night?
If the reports of that post here today saying how he was "sick of pumping long balls down the field", reminded me of A Wigan,. Anyway, that is the stuff "soccer america" and other media experts devoted to improving soccer "hate" in this country,

This idea of long balls, and not methodical, creative, skillful midfield build up.

It is called you guys need a striker and wings that will fly and blast forward.

Personally, to me Salt Lake always lacks real good goalscorers and creative mids...

By the way why does Nick Rimando not start any more?

They will win!!...just wait and see.
