Well, this sounds like a lot of fun and I would have attended, but this is the first that I've heard of it. I find it so interesting that the news media has a tendency to report on fun stuff like this after it's over or when there is one day left of it. It would be nice to know about fun events BEFORE they are over.

Same here, I would have come if I had known before the event was over.
One suggestion to the organizers, they may get more vendors and performers if they move the date a couple of weeks. The Dallas Renaissance festival ends next week and the Colorado one doesn't start until mid June. Both festivals share some of the same vendors and performers, so they could squeeze between the two and get some of the groups who have nothing to do those two weeks.

There is always next year... I will try to be there. They should have an email list to notify those who subscribe and would like to be there.

It was a blast! There are five different stages and they are always full. There's a puppet show, two magic shows (both fantastic), Lady of the Lake band, dulcimer players, belly dancers, pirates and cannons, pony rides, face painting, and on..and on..and on. The organizers make it so everything is coordinated and not running up against the joust--which everyone wants to watch so no one misses anything!

Just remember to take $1's so you can tip the performers because all the shows are free, but they work for tips!

My daughter (9) belly danced for tips both weekends so she could buy a shoulder puppet (which was at one of the booths). She couldn't be happier with her purchase and it was a fantastic two weekends not spent at home on the couch!!!

My daughter and I attended for the first time this year. We also found out last minute (next year's dates are on the calendar...thanks for sharing) from a neighbor who attended. She said jousting and we came running. We enjoyed the festival very much but the jousting is really the highlight. I'm a 40 something, married for 20 years, working mom who received a red rose from a knight in shining armor...worth the entry fee. We also met the photographer from the Deseret News who took the pictures for the slide show on this site. The last picture in the slide show is my daughter.

We have performed the last three years at the Faire. Sue always does a great job putting on a great show. Many wonderful vendors and performers. Thank you all so much who came and watched us. We so love to play and dance and be a part of the spectacle that is The Utah Renascence and Fantasy Faire. And yeah... show up earlier next year DN. Help us get the word out. Much love, Yom Al-had Gypsy Band and Dancers.
