Anonymous missed the point of the whole article. You don't know what lessons Mr. Ruff learned and taught the past 30+ years. You sound like some political journalists we know.
No wonder you won't state your name.

Dude, you're taking sound bites (titles) out of context. Ruff may sound negative, but that's what it takes to get people's attention now-days.
He is actually one of the most realistic financial forecasters, and prepared my family and a lot people for the worst, so even if it didn't get that bad, we were still better off than our spendthrift neighbors.

If Ruff sounds like he's negative, I'd say he is because it sells. It's sold for a lot of years to a group that was able to get into power and give us this mess. It's sad but LDS people who should be full of hope because of the gospel are instead full of fear because of our times. They are looking for the destruction of the world instead of the millennium.

In my life I'm going to look for the good. I'm not going to look for all the reasons I shouldn't be happy with what is at hand. I'm not going to be afraid but full of hope.

Ruff said, the only sure way to surf through difficult times is to live the gospel.

Ruff said it can be scary to marry and to start a family without financial security assured, but that shouldn't stop or delay any young Mormon's plans.

Since when is marrying young and having too many children "living the gospel"???

InStereo, finally someone who thinks the same I do. People have been predicting a fiancial meltdown ever since I was a toddler. It's all about fear vs faith. I don't have the energy or the desire to worry about everything that could or might happen.
