Excellent choice. President Obama nominated the best person avialable for this most important position.
Obama: smart Huntsman: smart GOP: doesn't get it still...
Best wishes to Governor Jon Huntsman as the new ambassador from the United States of America to the so-called People's Republic of China. He served a LDS mission in the Republic of China, more commonly known as Taiwan. His knowledge of Mandarin Chinese will help him serve our country even better. Best wishes again to Governor Huntsman and his family in this new calling by our President, Barack Obama.
Congratulations to Governor Huntsman and his family, who are willing to serve their country. And thanks to a president who looks beyond party affiliation to choose the best person for the job.
I feel great that the governor is leaving. He has made "popular" decisions in Utah and has not been a family advocate. He has enlarged booze sales and visibility, caved in to many pressures--which have weakened Utah as a good family place to live. Utah has really been polluted and degraded the past 30 years. I have seen it as I had my children here, and now worry for the safety and future of my 4 grandchildren. We need to get solid, good men in the governor's job, and in all the state political offices. Mrs. Huntsman and children will find it very difficult to uproot and move away-- I have been an Air Force child and an Army wife, and I disliked being forced to leave New York when my father had to go to Wash D.C., Virginia, Germany, Florida, Oregon, etc. I loved upstate NY and my grandparents and cousins. Cannot fit a lifetime of family togetherness into a week of visiting NY two or three years apart, a tragedy.
Thanks to our governor and his family for their service to Utah, and best wishes for their future service to this nation and the world as a whole!
Thank you Huntsman, the saints in ivory coast wish you and your family success back to Uta.
