The illegal aliens of Provo should be excited, since Stephen Clark was their primary Republican supporter in the Utah Legislature. He thinks we need to invite anyone that can jump the border or overstay a visa to come to Utah. Actually he thinks that Utah illegal aliens are better than those in other states, because when they come here they are taught correct principles. I think that is due to them coming in contact with a certain church here. However, looking at some of the crime statistics, I think he is confused.

We need change

There are too many secrets and not enough vision after 12 years in office. It's absolutely time for a new mayor to lead the city, work cooperatively with departments, the city council, the county, the state and the federal government to move Provo forward. We've seen what Lewis can do and what he has chosen not to do. It really is time for a change. Politics should never be a career and it would be dangerous for Provo to elect a mayor for a fourth term. There are good people running in this race.

Get a life Dems!

Find something else to whine about. Be part of a solution and not an ankle biter.

Just Noticing

It seems Stephen Clark is a bit of an opportunist. Why should we help him with his dream? I think Provo needs someone who puts them first not just another notch on someone's belt. If Billings has to go, let's look at John Curtis or Allphin.

Who Cares?

Who cares as long as it isn't another disastorous four years of Billings!

Ditto

Ditto to "Who Cares?" Imagine if Billings hadn't wasted 60 million on iProvo. Imagine if he hadn't spend hundreds of thousands on "improvements" at the airport. Imagine if he hadn't gave millions to "move" Action Target. Imagine if he hadn't wasted hundreds of thousands on an Arts Center. Imagine if he hadn't wasted almost two million (thus far) on East Bay Golf Course spending money and making room for a new development that most likely isn't coming and he certainly hasn't gotten the money for yet (where did the two million come from Mayor?). Imagine if he hadn't spent a hundred thousand for a horse trail head park very few use. Imagine, imagine, imagine. . . How many millions have been wasted on pet projects? How would the City of Provo be sitting financially if our fiscal house was in order? It is time for a change. Term limits should be instituted. I agree, the Mayor's office should be a brief stint to serve the citizens of our great community, not a career. Time for a change!

Please

Please soon to be Governor Herbert. Make Lewis Billings your Lt. Governor. PLEASE!

What Provo Needs

What Provo needs is a Mayor who cares more about his constituency more than his own agenda. Billings has done nothing for 12 years than push his own pet projects. He hasn't lead and he hasn't mangaged. I'm not sure he even knows how to. Heck, he couldn't even finish college. How can we expect him to finish anything? Everything this man touches wastes money and the end product is inferior because of all the short-cuts he demands in the process so that he can siphen money off to other projects he wants to focus on. Unfortunately, none of these "other projects" were approved in the budget by the Council and most of it is done "behind the scenes" by City employees to cover the paper trail of deception. Unfortunately the Mayor's strongest trait, his ability to bully anyone, has intimidated all members of the Council as well as all employees from speaking because they need to continue to feed their families. It is this type of intimidation tactics that allows him to this day to waste millions of dollars on projects that only benefit the few.
