I like to go in off peak hours which usually avoids this problem.
The Lone Star Steakhouse always has plenty of employees and never a long wait.
Sometimes it's a matter of planning and management.
I said I would sit at the Table closest to the closed section. They said they had No one to wait on us. I said, All I want is the Salad Bar. They said they could not seat me. I said I was leaving, They wished me a Good Day. Thats when I had the flashback.
I said get the Manager, Get the Manager NOW. They did. The lady came out. We Talked!
When we where done she said: We will be happy to seat you Sir, anywhere you want to be seated. The billing and Wait Staff is our problem and we will deal with it. I assure you this will never happen again. We received excellent service and had a very pleasant time. When we left there where several couples in the previously closed section.
Part of the Conversation had to do with a Call to Cooperate, about why they turn down Money. The other part, was private.
