blah blah blah, what have they done after high school?
Golfer Dad | 10:09 a.m. May 14, 2009
What have they done after high school? apparently you don't keep track of them. My daughter is one semester away from graduating from UVU. She played on the first High School Golf League, initiated by Annie Winchester Fisher who played golf in HS with the boys and thought the girls should have their own HS golf. Annie played golf at Weber State and now is part of the Utah Section PGA office as the Programs & Communications Director. Annie Thurman Young is another HS Girls golfer from this state who became an All American at Oklahoma State and played professionally who currently is the OSU Head womens golf Coach. The list goes on and on of what girls golf does for young women, it teaches them hard work, perserverance, teamwork, etc. etc. And you ask what have they done after high school? You apparently don't have a clue. Congrats to all the girls who played yesterday, it was fun watching them. Congrats to Dixie and Murray what a fun play-off and to the all State girls. Thanks to The PGA, Annie Fisher, UGA and their Staff the day was great!!!!

Obviously you haven't done much either that's why you commented that way. Its ok you can reminice the good ol days with your family to feel better about yourself!!
Golfer Dad | 11:00 a.m. May 14, 2009
Who was reminincing? Where did you get that from? There are many successful women who have played golf in High School, and at the college and University Level. I'm not sure what you are refering to when you say "what have they done after high school" please clarify yourself? I feel fine and life is great I don't need to feel better about anything. How about you?

Thanks to Salt Lake City and Glendale Golf Course for hosting the Golf Tornament yesterday. The course and greens were in excellent shape and the staff did a outstanding job hosting the tournament. Thank You Glendale!!!

what happens to kids after high school and after winning a state title in any given sport. The fact is that they won it and it means everything them at this stage in their life. Whether or not they get a scholarship for college or win the US Open, they can always remember the day they won the state title, and that's what counts. What happens after that is irrelevant at this point. Focus on the current accomplishment. Great job Dixie, more hardware for your already huge trophy case.

I think "blah blah" is referring to st. george golfers, not women alhtough title XI nowadays is joke. Don't get so rattled everyone knows the purest talent is up north :)

need to chill out a little. So, your daughter is at Utah Valley Community College. I mean Utah Valley "University" - Big Deal!

Golfer Dad | 5:00 p.m. May 14, 2009
What does title XI have to do with golf? Federal Ship Financing Program?

Congrats to Milford High for winning the 1-A state championship!!! Unless i stand corrected they were the first public school to win the 1-A state champ. Also they get to practice on the best 5 hole golf course in the world!! So I tip my hat to them boys!!!
