I feel like I'm in parts of Bangkok, or Hong Kong with all the sign clutter.

Well good for them. Great to know there is nothing else to be concerned about in that fair city.
Let people put up what they want on their own yards, as long as it's not a nuisance. BUT, this is a great way for the city to make money, by charging for signs up on park strips, tacked to stop signs and power poles.
