High school 4A baseball: Lions roar back to beat the Panthers

Now Pineview will get to play West. The last time these two teams met in playoff baseball was 1989 at BYU. West junior pitcher at the time Jesse Valles (a.k.a. the redheaded mexican) pitched the game of his life to beat the very, very talented and highly ranked Pineview squad. Whoever pitches for West this time around will probably have duplicate Valles' performance, if the Panthers from up north are going to prevail against the Panthers from the south.

Is hoping Pine View will bounce back for the lost and get on a winning streak. Keep it up Pine View you have Burley, Id on your side. You have a great coach and great players, just believe in yourselves.

PV should have been playing this game at home. It may have made a difference. Who knows? Earning home field advantage always helps, but then Cottonwood was the only #2 seed to win yesterday.
