Way to go Ed Havas and Colin Harris. The mine company's greed clearly led to this disaster and loss of life. It was not an earthquake. The attorneys were ready to prove that in court. A trial would not have been pretty for the mine owners. This provides closure and support for the families of the deceased miners and rescuers. It also sends a strong message to coal companies -- follow the plan, retreat carefully, and don't be so greedy when you take the last of the coal out because it may come back to bite you in the end. I'll bet every one of those families would gladly trade all the money they have coming for their lost family members.

RE:GIG, HMMMMMM last time I remember "ILLEGAL" is "ILLEGAL"!!!!!!!! which means HMMMMM if they WASNT in MY country ILLEGALLY they might NOT have lost their life!!!!!!!!

Hey MR MR there you go making comments about some of these miners not being American, but maybe you ought to learn how to speak English, nice grammar buddy! The illegals probably have a better grasp on the language than you do. That is a pretty low blow by the way, illegal or not, there is value to any human life, so maybe you ought not be so dang ignorant. These families have been through more than you can probably even comprehend, so show some respect!
