Proverbs 14:12 says, "There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death."

There is a difference between being without guile and being stupid.
I am the worst at it. But I am painfully learning that we can not be without guile and expect to get away with being stupid.
There is just not enough time and money in the world to waste it.
So, in order to truly be without guile, we must be honest, with deep integrity and we must be meek.

To be meek is to seek to understand power and wield it without guile. It is not to lay down and let the world walk all over us, use and abuse us and then just forgive. To be truly meek is to refuse to take the bait of those with guile. To do that, we must strive to understand our own guile and see it in others without the intent to destroy or damage. Now if we can see our own intent to destroy, see other's intent of destroy (covet) and still restrain ourselves from following either path, we will begin to have meekness, which power allows us to walk safely without guile.
