I always enjoy your column, but I particularly liked this one. In desperate times, people do desperate things. It sounds as though this gentleman was genuinely sorry and has moved on with his life. Who are we to judge him?

People do things due to depression and stress that don't make them proud. We all have the opportunity to repent, regardless of what we have done. I am just another person who has had to repent of his actions. That is the human condition I guess. I am glad that his family stood by him. Best of luck to him in the future.
