Trichloroethylene and trichloroethene are synonyms for CAS number 79-01-6. Yes, they exist.

If it's Trichloroethylene, then how come it degrades ultimately to ethene, not ethylene? When was the last time you asked a lab to analyze for ethylene? Trocholorethylene is an archaic term and should be purged from the environmental industry. IMHO
