One way or anther, they keep putting themselves in bad positions on the road, be it an early goal or a red card or both. They wont win until they figure that stuff out. There was a lot of talk this week about tactical changes, but I didnt really see any. I'm all for the more open attacking style on the road, but that has to yield at least an occasional win to justify it.

Olave is one of my favorite players on the team, but he seems to singlehandedly cost a game or two each season. If he can get that under control, he could be the most complete and intimidating defender in the league.

what about the illegal passback no call? different game if that's called correctly.

That red card call was ridiculous.
Officiating crew was awful.

Nice dive Connor Casey. Total wimp.

You can't blame Olave for that red card cause nothing happened. Once again we see how awful MLS referees in the this league continue to be. I still want to say that I don't think RSL was going to win that game with or without the red card.

I don't see why we would change our tactics for the road when our tactics at home win us the games. The problem is RSL just needs to MAN up and play! The game is still the same no matter where you play it.

even though olave's tackle really wasn't a foul, he sets himself up for that red card by going in cleats up on a really awkward challenge. casey faked it the injury and is a sissy for doing it, but any other player in the league would have done the same thing. olave just has to stop making weird tackles.

rsl needs to figure out how to win on the road. it is getting pretty old watching the same road show year after year. by the way it sounded more like a home game than an away game. i could hear the rsl fans at the game louder than the 50 or so rapids fans. lets go rsl.

nerves

anybody predicting a 2-0 loss for next saturday? Seems to be the going score for these guys on the road so far

The pass back to the rapids goalie was missed by the official, had he called it it would have been a indirect free kick in the penalty area, a great scoring chance but by no means as sure as a penalty.
Olave's red card was a joke, he did foul Casey but the correct call would have been a yellow.
I agree with the first comment on this site, lots of talk about tactical changes in the days before the match but I saw very little different from the first two road losses. How can a team so dominant at home suck so bad on the road? Any word on Espindola? anyone, anyone.

That Red Card

....was a joke. The guy was totally faking it!!!

I almost can't blame the officials, how would they know. Soccer players NEVER fake injuries.
