It's spelled "erred" on the side of caution, not "aired" on the side of caution. Check your spellings, please.
aired = erred
Thanks for pointing out the horrible grammatical errors of the Deseret News. "Aired" instead of "erred."
Perhaps they "aired" as well. We are talking about Park City School District, since air is what the administration has between their ears.
to erre is human
So the State believes that closing the schools was an "error".
They both aired and erred on the side of caution.
It is time to run!! The sky is falling. Oh boy. I think this is so blown out of proportion. Wash hands eat healthy exercise. We are expouse to viruses all day long. There is more people dying of a regular flu every day than of swine flu. The government just wants to scare the heck out of everyone for some reason. That scare me the most.
The gift that keeps on giving...
And I think it's "Probabble", 2 b's not 1.
I live in PC and my son + I both have the flu. Most families we know have at least one person with it. Flu is presently pervasive + I am glad the schools shut down for a while. I don't know if it is swine flu, but the closure has probably prevented the spread of this nasty bug.
Another error:
"lives to leave" = "lives to live"
(Huntsman suggested we "leave" our lives? Funny...)
How many people right now have the regular flu? How many people died last year in Utah of flu? Why is the media and govt hyping this? I am so over-saturated with swine flu. Stop beating a dead horse.
HOW NAIVE! IS THIS EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF HEALTH A REAL DOCTOR!? PARK CITY MADE EXACTLY THE RIGHT MOVE AND THE OTHER SCHOOLS THAT HAVE "PROBABLE" CASES SHOULD BE DOING THE SAME THING. LIVING HERE IN MEXICO CITY, THE EPICENTER OF IT ALL, MAKES ONE AWARE OF JUST HOW RAPIDLY THIS THING CAN PROGRESS. CONGRATULATIONS PARK CITY. WAKE UP KARL AND CHICKEN LITTLE. IT'S ALL REAL!
NAIVE! NAIVE! NAIVE!
Chicken Little, maybe it is the fact that the WHO, has raised the pandemic level to level 5! the highest it has been sense the WHO was founded, the only level higher is 6, which is the same as the Spanish influenza.
I'm very careful and haven't had a cold or flu in years. I'll continue to practice good healthy habits. If I get it, then so be it and I'll still practice good healthy habits so you don't get it (from me at least).
37000 people die yearly from the flu virus
37,000 are a majority of sick and elderly.
This Swine flu taking down perfectly healthly in a matter of weeks.
I agree with LJ and Anonymous closing the schools is good idea stop the spread it a new flu they do not know how it will change and spread Better to be safe than sorry.
What part of "better safe than sorry" don't you people understand?
If something were to happen, the school district and the state would be sued by the very people that are here complaining. What irony.
