Employed, but overworked: How to deal

Nice story, but doesn't translate into what's really going on. The people you need to address are the managers and CEOs who move your cheese without telling you and then yell at you for doing something wrong that you didn't even know was wrong. Why does Joe the Plumber have to cow tow to these guys who threaten your job nearly every day. Like that really boosts moral. Write an article on better and more humane management during the recession, and give the worker bees a break on brown nosing.

Or, get a gov. job.

I have a government job and we are going through layoffs. The next couple of weeks will be round one and they expect to have at least one or two more. Don't depend on a gov. job!

Maybe you misunderstood the article. It was intended to help YOU keep YOUR job. An article on how execs couuld better manage would be great, but whether they decide to or not is really out of your control. Better figure out what is in your control.

By your comments, I can tell you will be the first to go.
