Comments about ‘High school boys soccer: 2A state tournament’

The UHSAA web site has brackets for these games and list the day they will be played as Thursday. What's the real story?

I'm confused by the dates also. But that's nothing unusual. Help us please, d-news.

all the games are wednesday, check the uhsaa website again.

If you look at the USHAA website today, it says Wednesday. Our school has informed us that the games will all be played on Wednesday.

With the private school able to recruit does a a tournament really matter?? There is no way a public school will be able to compete against private schools recruitment.

Public schools will COMPETE!!!! Whether they win or not is to be seen. I for one believe that public schools hold the heart of high school sports.
Here's too all of the public schools out there; Play hard, have some fun beating those privates and good luck in the playoffs.

Which private 2A team recruited and dominated?

All private schools are recruiting but I think most are recruting students not athletes. Some are using their athletic programs to recruit students. Most are run by good people, who want to compete fair within their programs.

I noticed that people think a public school can't beat the private schools. I say that is false, Grand has the skill, the offense, the midfield, and especially the defense. It will be a good championship this year and I want Grand (The Public school with heart and talent) to take it all! GO GRAND
