Reed is still my favorite

Kyle Chisholm deserved more than the black flag. He should get a one year suspension, and circumstances being what they were, James Stewart could have been penalized one position.

Kyle, you went from a lapper, to the most hated man in motocross, in one fell swoop. Sometimes lessons have to be learned the hard way.

Seems to me, Reed's block pass on Stewart into the tough blocks cost Stewart more time than Chisolm's bump on Reed, and Stewart came back. Tit for Tat and racing often times has a bump or two.
KS | 11:41 a.m. April 26, 2009
Do no one pay attention when Reed pushed Stewart into the tough blocks? That could have been race over. And can anyone really believe that Reed would have passed Stewart? Reed and Reed fans seem to be synonomis with excuses.
SXWATCHER | 12:03 p.m. April 26, 2009
Chad Reed can't stay in front of James Stewart for an entire race. The fact is, Reed can't ride with the same intensity that Stewart can muster. The little bobble that Stewart's teammate caused, didn't amount to anything near the amount of time that Stewart put between himself and Reed by the time the race ended. It was lucky for Reed that it gave him an excuse for getting whipped by Stewart again, even though the incident played little if any difference in the race, certainly not 3.5 seconds worth.

WHAT CHISOLM DID WAS BS!!! He was not even in the race.He should have pulled over like every other rider did.I thought alot of Chisolm, till now.Shows what kind of sportsman he is.AS for the Stewart getting into the tough blocks, its called a block pass.
racer 34 | 1:46 p.m. April 26, 2009
reed did stand bubba up and put him into the blocks but Chisolm has no business even getting in the middle of it hell if he was better he would not of been getting laped the only reason he did it is cuz he knew bubba would of choked sooner or later with that much pressure form reed {Chisolm is a punk)and so is bubba if he dose't admit that HIS TEAMMATE was wrong
LSC | 2:51 p.m. April 26, 2009
Shame it happened, Stewie certainly didn't need any help. He has had more speed than Reed all year, and like prior races, has gotten Reed all fired up, only to gap him in the end.
CDL | 3:15 p.m. April 26, 2009
Agree with SXWATCHER above in that Reed is unable to ride with Stewart. To top of off the gap was almost 9 seconds just a few laps after Stewarts lap 12 pass. On Chisolm: I was wondering if it was intentional myself until watching the video a few times. He was on the inside carrying quite a bit of momentum into the right hander which of course was going to carry him UP the berm since he couldn't get it slowed down in time. Watch the videos again, he was on the breaks and not even looking at Reed attempting a take out. Definitely a VERY BAD ROOKIE MISTAKE however. He should have known better and did deserve a black flag.
CLEAN UP | 3:35 p.m. April 26, 2009
Who takes all the dirt away?

How do they do it without "cutting" the carpet?

What do the Ute players think about giving the stadium over to motocross?
Leslie | 3:48 p.m. April 26, 2009
Bubba did it last week.........Chisholm this week........do you guys see the trend? Reed is being screwed over the same way the Stewart tried to screw over Ricky in the past. Let's go Reed, do as Ricky did, prove you are the better man, not to metion a more honest racer. You didn't win your championship by being a true a.. hole.

I agree with LSC James surely doesn't need anyones help and diphrint said it right... Reed's block pass caused James more time than Chisholms bump on Reed (which James was bumped too...by his own team mate...still think it was on purpose??) So Reed ends up 3.7 seconds behind James over that? Give me a break... quit looking for excuses and see it for how it is... James is the best rider & Reed is a good challenge for him.
10 bermy | 3:59 p.m. April 26, 2009
Chad Reed is a cry baby he is mad that stewart can out ride him any day of the week.Chisolm was not even a problem, Chad almost pushed James into the stands with that cheap move he did. But like a true stand up guy stewart is,he still rode clean and passed reed and smoked him.Chad Reed is a second place rider and will always be until james retires. So called champ, always riding safe enough to come second,or hoping stewart crashes.

This goes out to writer (racer 34) sounds to me you have a colour problem.Could be BLACK or BLUE but you need to get over it. James Stewart is here to stay, and no Chad Reed or anyone can hold a candle to the talent of James Stewart.Sleep on that.

What a great race all the way up till, Chisholm Stewart's teammate had to ruin Yamaha pride and and the true racing spirit of the sport!
When Chisholm a lapped rider purposely tried to take Reed out...That my friends is crossing the line & I hope he gets the suspension & disrespect he so deserves!

Reed & Suzuki have showed only respect on the track!

Ghisolm's Yamaha needs to be painted black!

Leave the racing to to the pro's Stewart & Reed

i think bubbas teammate made a mistake-i dont think he was trying to take chad out. watch the vidio again.he had too much momentum and was trying to stop in time.chad and bubba are both xlnt riders, bubba pushes the envelope a little more. im just so greatfull my wife and i are going to watch the last one in vegas live.i was there 2 years ago when it was ricky bubba and chad--WOW what a race.
Yz250 | 11:40 p.m. April 26, 2009
Chad will always be #2 while stewart is still alive!
Look at the total heat wins and the total final wins! If stewart didn't go down in the first race of the year then he would be way up on points!
Mike Johnston | 12:32 a.m. April 27, 2009
I'd love to see Alessi t-bone Stewart and take him out of the race in Vegas next week. That entire Yamaha team is nothing but a bunch of punks.
setting it straight | 12:36 a.m. April 27, 2009
Reed's only championships have come only when James and Ricky were out on injuries,Every True fan knows this yes its true, Reed will always be 2nd to Stewart and Carmichael and (Kevin Windham outdoors), Sorry Reed fans the only way Reed is going to win a supercross season is if he goes back to Australia, or James is not racing. The capital T Truth is James Stewart is the most talented and fastest rider ever to date period.

bubbas got it in the bag write that down, and thanks for coming.
Just Me | 9:11 a.m. April 27, 2009
Chad tried to take Stewart out and nearly did, costing Stewart much more time than 38 cost Reed. The announcers didn't say anything about that. I think Reed is happy it happened so he would have an excuse. This is no way that little bump cause Reed to lose by nearly 4 seconds. So much prejudice still remains again blacks. The only time Stewart gets airtime is when Reed is in the same frame.

Everyone forgets last week Stewart was being unsportsman in practice and during the race. I am not a huge Reed fan, but think Stewart has a lot of growing up to do. As far as Reeds "block Pass" that is all it was, if he wanted to take Stewart out he could have easily. Still have not seen a good shot of Chisholm to know whether it was intentional or a dumb mistake. Also you cant really see if it effected Reeds momentum or not. He sure was off the pace after it happened. All said, we are going to Vegas onlu six point apart.

There is NO comparison between the block pass by Reed on Stewart for 1st and 2nd place and that of the block by Chisholm on Reed as a laper. If Chisholm would have been in contention for the race there would be no problem with what he did. It is the fact that he was being lapped and that he let Stewart by no problem but caused problems for Reed. Not to mention he is Stewarts teammate, connect the dots
crfracer74 | 2:05 p.m. April 27, 2009
seen the"take out" from a different camera angle. I would have to say he defintley ran it in on Chad Reed. Hopefully the FIM does something about this.
RE: Leslie | 2:05 p.m. April 27, 2009
It's funny you should question Bubba's and Chisholm's sportsmanship and say that Reed should do what Ricky would have. Ricky Carmichael was one of the dirtiest cheap riders to ever race a motorcycle. Time after time throughout his career I witnessed him purposefully clip other riders to take them out. This and other behavior in a win at all costs attitude with complete disregard for the safety and well being of his opponents is what Ricky Carmichael was all about. So before you mention names and start accusing people of being dirty or unsportsmanlike just remember your precious Ricky!
crfracer74 | 3:47 p.m. April 27, 2009
Leslie...

Would that count the time "Bubba" landed on Ricky's back? Or the time Bubba, wait I could go one. I really never recall a blatant take out move from Ricky. And really that is not the point,Chisholm tried to take another rider out, whether it was to help his teammate or not, there should be some sort of punishment for the team and Chisholm. They suspended Jason Lawrence for less than that. Really it is sad the sport is coming to this kind of drama.
Mitch | 4:05 p.m. April 27, 2009
Lapper has no business Kamikazing the Champion. Should be suspended the remaining season.
Anonymous | 4:15 p.m. April 27, 2009
The fans don't pay to see a lapper interfere (a pathetic and obvious Kamikazi effort at that) with what was an exciting race for the lead. A suspension is needed.
motoxfan | 5:40 p.m. April 27, 2009
As a Supercross and Motocross fan I was robbed of a spectacular race. I'm neither a Stewart fan or Reed fan, just a huge fan of the sport. After watching Kyle Chisholm's blatant, amatuerish, feeble attempt at taking Chad Reed out of contention, while being lapped was an outrage. Myself and all true race fans were robbed of a legitmate, grind it out, bar to bar race outcome by two extremely talented riders. Come on FIM hold these teams and their win at all costs, money mongers, responsible for pushing these talented kids into these dangerous positions. If the right thing is not done, Supercross and it's persuit for respect and legitimacy, will be seen as nothing more than a county fair demolition derby.
MX106 | 6:05 p.m. April 27, 2009
They should dock Stewart a position, making the race even and points! Now that would make a great LV Race! Know they won't... or can't.. but that would have made the final really something to watch! And, perhaps put Stewie boy in his arrogant place...
mx | 7:29 p.m. April 29, 2009
They are on the same team.If u race in Florida locally u know what really happened.Stewart had to know. Stewart and Chisholm have been riding together for years. If any of u know a little track in Florida called Dadecity motocross u know what I mean.
Those of u who watch it on TV do not know the local
story

Team orders anyone
RIDEkid | 6:26 p.m. May 1, 2009
Just watched the race and I think its all about racing. Adrenaline does play a part in all kinds of racing. Reed just should have kept racing instead of worrying about the lapper almost cleaning him out. Bottom line, he didn't get cleaned out and gave up. Reed just gotta put his head down and keep racing. We don't need any more drama and CRY babies. Just wanna see a good race period!!
Brian253 | 8:23 p.m. May 1, 2009
If youve raced before you know chisolm tried to take him out. He sped up after seeing both stewart and reed go by and made a bee line for reed. He wouldnt have been black flagged if it had been unclear. I agree with a commentor who said the whole team should be penalized;. The whole team should be suspended, even stewart. That kind of stuff shouldnt be allowed. That is NOT racing, thats worse than anyting J-law has done in his whole career put together. J-law just wanted to win in his actions, chisholm's action was much, much worse. Anyway.....I'll give him a dirty look next time i see him at the track.
