Huntsman is an embarrassment to all of us who ever supported him. Never again.

Fool me once shame on you. Fool me twice shame on me.

Cindy

Don't forget Shurtleff came out against Prop 3 while Huntsman supported it. Shurleff is as phoney as a $3 bill. He's just posturing against his past liberalism so he can run against Bennett. Bennett's awful but Shurtleff is worse.

UTAH Bill

If I had a choice on whom to trust for legal advice - I'd go with Huntsman. Shurtleff agrees with what legislative leadership wants - he always does. He's not an independent AG (though he's supposed to be). Huntsman, on the other hand, is politically independent of the legislature and can rely upon more trustworthy legal counsel within his office.

Stop all the nonsense!

Shurtleff has very little room to say anything about Govn.Huntsman. He also needs to find another job. He will never be voted for or by our family and friends for anything ever again.

He needs to move to the FLDS compound and join in on all their fun and mind games.

QUOTE:...."Obviously anything can be adjudicated in court," Duncan said. "There are people who argue that polygamy should be allowed in Utah, but the state constitution specifically says otherwise. That's clearly the case with civil unions."

Read the Amendment

It is VERY clear that Gov. Huntsman was wrong. The amendment states:

"No other domestic union, however denominated, may be recognized as a marriage or given the same or substantially equivalent legal effect."

In order to have "domestic partnerships" or "civil unions" in Utah the amendment would have to be rewritten....

Utah and it's runner boys have some huge integrity problems. However huntsman can be trusted over Shurtluff any day. I am from an outside state and i think it is a good idea to have good MORALES when running for offices. If the men who run the government have good morals it is much easier to trust them. If they have low morals it is good idea to get rid of them before they ever get started. Shurtluff has double standards and should not be trusted for any leadership.

Libertatian

So lets see, Shurtluff says the Govenor was wrong to grab the headline in the tribune today, yet he was against amendment?
"The amendment might even outlaw other benefits to same-sex couples, such as hospital visitation and wrongful death rights, Shurtleff said. "That's why I opposed it."
This gives us more reason not to support Shurluff in his run for the senate beside his obvious support for the illegal alien community and amnesty!

i agree with you as far as my opinion of shurtleff goes but i have to agree with him that amendment 3 does ban civil unions. i am glad to him finally doing his job and supporting our constitution.
