Great legacy of a moderate public servant, committed to Utah with a sound fiscal
policy. We Utah Dems could use a few more of Bill's type. Thanks Rep.
Matheson for carrying on the tradition.

I am a died in the wool conservative, and cant stand people like Rocky Anderson,
but I loved Bill Orton. He had a lot of integrity so that people like me, who
cannot see anything moral in the liberal party, saw a lot of integrity in Bill.
He was a good man. He will be missed.

I remember when Bill was running against Harmer and Harmer and the other
Republican, I don't even remember his name, starting contending, it was
obvious, Bill Orton was the best candidate. Even as a Republican, I came to
admire and appreciate his honesty and service. I only met him a few times, but
what and example to all of us. His sons can be proud of having such a great man
for a father. They will have big shoes to fill, but I can tell they will grow
and meet the many challenges. Families are forever, time will pass and families
will be restored. You are in our prayers.

Rest in Peace Bill, you were a noble servant and independent thinker, something
were sorely miss in today's politics.

Bill Orton was a wonderful man and did so much good in the world. I am so sorry
for the loss his wife and his two fine young boys are going through at this
time.

Bill was my classmate, former partner, and my friend. I had the priviledge of
being the "Republican on his Staff" for a year and a half working the
the constituents, and speaking for Bill on occasion. He was honest of character,
and true to his beliefs; and very clever. I shall miss Bill dearly, and wish the
very best to Jacquie and the boys. We are all better for having known Bill.
