Great legacy of a moderate public servant, committed to Utah with a sound fiscal policy. We Utah Dems could use a few more of Bill's type. Thanks Rep. Matheson for carrying on the tradition.

I am a died in the wool conservative, and cant stand people like Rocky Anderson, but I loved Bill Orton. He had a lot of integrity so that people like me, who cannot see anything moral in the liberal party, saw a lot of integrity in Bill. He was a good man. He will be missed.

I remember when Bill was running against Harmer and Harmer and the other Republican, I don't even remember his name, starting contending, it was obvious, Bill Orton was the best candidate. Even as a Republican, I came to admire and appreciate his honesty and service. I only met him a few times, but what and example to all of us. His sons can be proud of having such a great man for a father. They will have big shoes to fill, but I can tell they will grow and meet the many challenges. Families are forever, time will pass and families will be restored. You are in our prayers.

Bill Orton was a wonderful man and did so much good in the world. I am so sorry for the loss his wife and his two fine young boys are going through at this time.

Bill was my classmate, former partner, and my friend. I had the priviledge of being the "Republican on his Staff" for a year and a half working the the constituents, and speaking for Bill on occasion. He was honest of character, and true to his beliefs; and very clever. I shall miss Bill dearly, and wish the very best to Jacquie and the boys. We are all better for having known Bill.

No. Utah sees a major earthquake every 350 years. Last one? 350 years ago.
