Bennett's finger testing breeze

Whichever the populist wind is blowing, you can bet Bennett will be setting his sail accordingly.

Looking back

over some previous home grown terrorists, the memo sounded accurate to me. In no way does it imply that all vetrans, gun enthusiasts, or people that have an opinion on sensitive matters would be terrorists, however it happens.

Bennett just wants something more to make it look like he is doing something, even though he is a good for nuthin

We never had Ruby Ridge, Waco or the Oklahoma City bombing. I forgot two weeks ago a man shot a few people because he feared Obama would take his guns away and the shooter a while back who shot people in a Unitarian Church who was a fan of Michael Savage a Cal Berkeley grad who moved to the Bay Area to be close to Alan Ginsburg.

Excuse me? Remember Oklahoma? Sorry Bob, You not only need to face the facts but face them without the blinders on you choose to wear.

Most of our veterans are honorable but there will always be the nut jobs. The memo is right to suggest we include 'right wing extremists' as potential terrorists. The key word here is extremists, Bob. She's not talking about you.

You promised a short stay in office - now be honorable and keep your over-extended promise.

This has nothing to do with terrorism and everything to do with the next election. Has Bennett ever heard of Timothy McVeigh or Terry Nichols? That's what we're talking about here. The DHS must consider threats from every side. The average vet is no more targeted than the average person whose name begins with "Mc". Bennett knows all this.

Its sad to see the brand new administration embarassed this bad, this early in their administration!
As I understand it, anyone who doesn't agree with Obama's socialist agenda is now a "right wing extremist". BUT - its probably better than being a "left wing extremist", I'd rather be counted with the patriotic veterans, than the tax and spend liberals!

What an outrage!

I can't believe they'd label anti-abortion people as potential terrorists. I'm sure there isn't one documented fact of one of these people committing an act of terrorism. Just for some examples, I could never imagine any anti-abortionist to say bomb a Planned Parenthood or snipe a doctor. Yeah, I'm sure those things have never happened.

I am proud to be a racist or whatever this ignorant woman wants to call me. I am a proud American.

She is over her head. Arizona was glad to be rid of her.

It was kind of cool, in one fell swoop she offended more then half of the Western United States. It is always great to find out that you are a potential "domestic terrorist". Next the criteria is going to be, if you listen to country music and drink domestic beer. Better yet, skip the "you might be a redneck jokes", use the same material. You might be a right wing extremist if...

So, Bob, if you really want to get the GOP nomination next year, why wait almost two weeks before jumping on the bandwagon. It does not take a lot of courage to join a chorus. It takes tons of courage to sing solo.

Left and Right Wings Have Crazie

Both extremes have their wackos. The further to the right or left in individual is the more the individual feels disfranchised. This individual then expects if the government doesn't do what he believes is right, then that individual has a tendancy to believe he is being abused.

Not an outrage, but troubling

I am a libertarian, so I am generally very wary of government. If I could be sure that the memo would be limited to true "extremists," I wouldn't be bothered by the memo. However, if history teaches us anything, it is that those in power (regardless of their party) tend to want more, and if the memo were ever to become official policy of DHS, it could easily be subverted into a means by which those who aren't extremists could be followed, wiretapped, etc. I don't think I'm enough of a nut (my wife may disagree with me) to be included in the ranks of those who would initially be in danger, but if it grew too expansive, I know I would eventually fall within the definitions in the memo, and so would a lot of otherwise harmless folks. That is what makes it troubling.

Just for the record

Arizona was NOT glad to be rid of Janet! We knew the damage she did down here and we didn't want her to do the same to our whole country!

One of her bright ideas was to give driver's licenses to illegals! Supposedly so that they would get insurance (Oh! sure!) That was supposed to help with all the accidents the drug runners and illegal smugglers cause.

I find I resent strongly being called a potential terrorist because I oppose elective abortion, illegal immigration, own a gun, am a Christian and have a husband who is a veteran. At one time, all those things were mainstream America! Who is making the rules today!

Is this person

a joke, or what? Obama puts a person like this in charge of ALL security for our HOMELAND?

Whats next? Check the local VFW for folks on a "terror watch list"?

re: "Just for the Record"

You asked: "Who is making the rules today" Simple - the elitist liberals from the left. And that is why we have an economy in trouble facing record tax increases, and are the joke of the international community because we would rather run than stand up for what is right. We live with a rock-star president, and nut leading the house and senate, and and a Hollywood choir.

And that is the real terror of our times!

stinkin thinkin!

does it seem like a slect group of people are being called, terrorist? why is it when a anti-abortionist makes a choice to kill someone, this person is labeled a terrorist. when someone makes a choice to kill the unborn, the same label does not apply. terrorist are now called, "man caused disaster." terrorist does not apply.... when is killing good.... never! pro-life can say this is ok,its legal. It's wrong to label anyone a terrorist until the crime has been committed, or attempted the crime. people have a right to their opinion, however ones choices could causes a man caused disaster.....

Crazy King George III was a Saint to the American Colonies when compared to the lunatics in control of the U.S. Governemnt today.

My Constitution reads we're ALL innocent until a crime is in fact committed and until Proven guilty.

It's true, the Nuts have taken over the Nut-house.
