Why those dirty, stinking liberals of California!
What will they think of next?
Peace and harmony?
I love this communitys efforts. The great thing about this is that one can take it on as a personal philosophy and it can be like that all the time. It accentuates the positive emotions of giving something of value to someone else who may need it and can use it. I have really been impressed with the giving in my own small community of Mesquite Nevada. The city has ordinances to protect citizens from peddlers and others who would interrupt privacy. Recently their was a scout drive for food and they weren't able to access the peoples homes to pick up food because of the ordinance. People actually marched on city hall so that the problem of giving of the food was resolved. Giving is absolutely therapudic.
How great!!!!!! Just holding that vision could make a lot of things go better, it's what we value in each other that makes life so worth living. Anyway you can get the media to tell these stories over the ones that generate more fear and worry??
Congratulations to the whole town. It would be wonderful to hear all the 'mundane' events that happen in this week, that put a smile on your faces :)
