Next will be the -$5.00 for residents that Re-cycleable cans, glass, metals, bottles, paper, and plastics.

I think charge for the cans but give the residents the compost for free. Not everyone will take advantage of the program making it viable (still).

I think this is a great idea. I suspect, however, that many of the households who will find this program attractive are the ones already trying to limit their waste to one can. Still, I wish my town had such an option. Thank you for reporting on this.
