Call me crazy, but there seems to be a huge question unanswered in this piece. IF THE DISEASE HAS ALL BUT BEEN ELIMINATION OUTSIDE THE PARK AREA, WHY CAN'T RANCHERS AND OFFICIALS TAKE THE SAME APPROACH TO ELIMINATE IT INSIDE THE PARK AREA?
Sometime government ignores the simple to study to death the issue, and that seems to be the case here. Do everything in the power of veterinary science and good animal husbandry to get rid of the disease. If there are restrictions against vaccinating the park wildlife, for the good of all screw those regulations and get on with business.
