If you go on the web site of any mainline christian church and Roman Catholic and look under Cults right next to the Jehovahs Witness you will have Mormons. The internet has to be a factor in what Christians think about Mormons.

Our church has had a web site for about 10 years and also an email group, but we are about the only church locally that does. Some have put up web sites, but don't maintain them and they are soon gone.

My observation is that Christians are far from in the forefront of using new technologies. They usually only adopt them after businesses have been using them for years.

Ted, your not including the phonies of Christendom who followed the money and made a fortune with technology, such as TBN, Benny Hinn, etc.

The only difference between a religion and a cult is the amount of people who belong to each.

The early church was one of the first to move from scrolls to pages (or books) which is why it is called the bible, the greek word for book.
