Nice to have a built in consumer base that mandates record sales!

I guess I better buy one since I'm "mandated" to, right musiclog? MoTab has flourished since it has had its own label.

Growing up the MoTab was what we joked about. Boring Old people music with an organ. but as they have grown to include the orchestra and have some truly wonderful arrangements I have come to love them. I buy their albums and really enjoy the music.

The Tabernacle Choir is so blessed to have someone like Mack Wilberg at its helm; so accomplished and talented in the arrangements of choral and symphonic music... He's the total package, and a heck of a nice guy too. A native Utahn from small town Utah, but who has worldwide recognition as being tops in his field. Now that I've said some nice things (I have every album ever issued by the Tabernacle Choir in the last 20 years..) One thing that is irritating is when they duplicate the same song, and same arrangement across two or three albums. I wish they wouldn't do that...but that's a minor irrituation overall so I hate to even mention it. If you want to buy the latest album, it's cheapest on iTunes. Don't konw why some Utah retailers think they can still charge $15 a CD when it's $6 cheaper on iTunes???

music log, recent stats show the LDS church population at around 2% of the US population, and a large percentage of them (like my teenage son) don't care for that style of music, so your premise holds no water.

they wouldn't reach #8 on the contemporary christian charts without some strong sales among evangelicals, who don't consider LDS as christian and have a built-in bias against the motab.

I'm sorry that your bigotry is so oppressive. you really need to relieve yourself of the hate and animosity, it hurts no one but you.

BTW, I am NOT a member of the choir, but I do appreciate their sound.

I love MoTab! I listen to their music as an appetite supressant. I have lost 40 pounds in the past 4 months!

Congratulations, Anonymous!

Feeding the soul on Spiritual Food, such as that produced by the Mormon Tabernacle Choir, does make eating actual food seem less interesting.
