I sure will not vote for him.

Huntsman will go nowhere NATIONALLY, he's from Utah and Mormon. He COWARDLY tried to position himself as gay-friendlier than he is, by NOT stating a position on civil Unions he knew wouldn't make him electable in Utah. He also knows your 85% Mormon legislature will never call his bluff on Civil Unions. Utah will pass laws insisting on pole dancers in your temple, before they approve Civil Unions....and you KNOW IT!

Huntsman may surprise them all... very smart & saavy.

Niximus

I bet Jim Huntsman would be a better candidate than Jon, no question.

I hated Romney but Huntsman is just what the GOP needs. He's got my vote.

Give me a break

1. Nobody has ever heard of Huntsman.

2. Huntsman is from Utah.

3. Huntsman is a mormon.

4. Once republicans get to know Huntsman they will realize that he is not a conservative and therefore won't have a chance to win the nomination. (We've learned our lesson by nominating McCain.)

Anybody that thinks Huntsman is a serious contender is as ignorant, out of touch, and arrogant as Huntsman himself is.

Not a chance...

in hell for him to get elected nationally. If Americans are going to vote a Mormon into office it will be Romney a million years before no-name global warming johnny-boy.

Pawlenty of MN or Thune of SD will become the stars of the RNC, Charlie Crist would have risen, but he's GAY. Jindall and Palin haven't a snowball's chance in Hell.

Are You Kidding

Silver spoon Huntsman would get lost in the White House. Stay at the local level and let someone who really knows what they are doing go to Washington. He can't even get numbers right. Every time he talks about numbers without a written speech, he totally misquotes them and looks like a dufus like he is. Remember his big plan to remove sales tax from groceries? He was so far off on the numbers on that program that it got hacked apart by a legislature that at least had calculators and reduced the tax not eliminated it. If he didn't have a conservative legislature here in Utah, he would run the budget out of sight with his programs that he constantly hints about that are pure liberal agendas. I keep waiting for the next global warming or green program that he jumps on board with that have absolutely no real science behind their theories! I'll bet he has a paid subscription to Al Gore's newsletter. Hey Jon, come to the TEA Party and see what your constituents really think about Washington before you make up your mind to go join the "good ole boy club"!

Huntsman may be a good choice

For a GOP that is slowly but surely self destructing every where but Utah, J Huntsman Jr. may be a good national candidate. Even the Governor of California, a very democratic state is only really disliked by the California GOP.

He is a moderate, realistic political. I did not vote for him as I voted Democratic, but he has impressed me with his moderate, positive approach and stands.

Utah sure needs more Huntsmans' and Mathesons' for that matter.

Gov

You are too centrist, fiscally sound and reasonable to appeal to the politicos. The religious bigots, like the Rev. Mike Huckabee, will come out of the woodwork and the extremists from both isles will prevent someone sensible like you from being the nominee. Doubts? Read "Give me a break."

Coolio

RE-Anonymous,

Just what the GOP needs, we just got the floor mopped with a Moderate candidate, you want it to happen again. He is getting National Attention because the Liberal media want more moderate fodder for us to throw up against Obama, because they know we'll get beat.

Anonymous

I look for a Libertarian to rip the RNC in half as a third Party candidate. Ron Paul knew how to raise MASSIVE funds online, and Michael Steele is an embarrassment.

Huntsman would be wiser to challenge Hatch for a Senate seat...poor bought and sold "private foundation" (wink wink,) Orin...is getting awfully long in the tooth...er...dentures.

Important Question

Has Huntsman himself ever said or done anything that would indicate that he might be interested in running for president. I know McCain has dropped his name numerous times but I haven't seen or heard anything from Huntsman himself. I may have missed something though.

Personally, I don't know what the Republican Party needs to do to get back into power. Our country's values and demographics have changed (that is a fact). If the Republican Party doesn't evolve, well...Darwin taught us what happens to those who can't adapt. I am seriously concerned that the GOP is going to be a party of the South in the very near future.

little jon & guv ahhnuld:
RINO's

Republican Delegate

Huntsman has a first name which should be used at every opportunity.

RINO!

Nice guy, photogenic, good hair, speaks well. Lies through his teeth about being a conservative when running for office, but then governs as a "moderate" to "liberal" republican.

Might as well let a real liberal get elected as waste our efforts on another "lesser of two evils" candidate wanting to get in office.

Republicans need to nominate a strong CONSERVATIVE with hardcore beliefs in small government, lower taxes, less government spending, a true free-market economy and a strong national defense.

No more McCain or Dole, or even Bush types. We want and our country desperately needs the strong leadership and true Conservatism of another Reagan!

Stay in Utah, RINO Huntsman.

Republican In Name Only

who needs Huntsman...he is just another OBUMMER!

Not only that

but jimmy got on board with a fellow rino who lost. And now to have the losing rino propose that his fellow rino supporter be the next GOP nominee is ludicrous.

It is the rino elite group of republicans who have stolen the heart and soul of republicanism that has lead to their defeat and loss of power in a very short period of time. The American people will show more tolerance for an immoral ideology than a moral ideology espoused by HYPOCRITES who privately have contempt for it's platform. Mr. Obama defeat of John rino McCain is evidence of that.

Re Coolio:

"Just what the GOP needs, we just got the floor mopped with a Moderate candidate"

As a Utahan who voted Democratic, I could have accepted McCain as Pres. The "gotcha" was Palin. What a treat we would have had now with the headlines as her family also disintegrates along with the GOP and the right wing. Remember Levi? Couldnt wait to get away then and get on the talk shows.

Come on GOP, I agree with many of your concerns, budgeting, security, etc. But get off the ultra right wing social agenda. America is a great country, not all Christian, not all white. Remember that there was supposed to be room for all under that "big tent"?
