Aside from not being able to defend teams that can shoot treys, the Jazz propensity for shooting from the outside without even trying to go inside will continue to sink them. Doesn't seem that's going to change any time soon. Too bad.
Ticket holders are definitely not getting their money's worth from this team. Time for a coaching change. Sloan's system isn't working. Forget the injuries, these issues have been around for quite awhile now.
If I just got dominated by a team that was 29-51 on my own home court then I would fake an injury and leave early as well.
An undrafted pg from LV just broke both your ankles all night long and dropped 38 points on you causing you to continue your lose streak. Wow, are you sure you deserved Beijing and the Jazz? Learn to work or retire early.
the people who pay you
A coach can't just kick some bum off the team for their inability to prepare, practice, and perform. This disaster lands on the feet of the players. Don't start crucifying our Hall of Fame Coach. He is proven, tried, and tested...these wimpy little babies that play for him are not.
that everyone except D-Will was the problem. Now I'm beginning to believe that he is a major part of the problem. Jazz need to sort things out and give us our monies worth or we will fire you.
The Fans
did anyone see that Deron had 25 pts and 14 assists? and he would get caught behind screens anyone who has played b ball knows that the bigs were showing wrong. and not helping deron gets caught behind the screen the big should cut them off and deron rotates back buch that didnt happen. you cannt tell me that he is the problem and he faked injury go cheer for the lakers if you are going to post like that. the real prob is AK, Milsap, and Cj. jjst wanting to score and not win! tell me Im wrong? I havent givin up on the jazz and never will!
another "sloanaholic" good job...Yeah he is the best.
seems like there is some strife in the locker room we don't know about. Only some serious off-the-court problems could cause this degree of on-the-court suckitude.
ak milsap and cj wanted to score? i dident see cj and milsap take very many shots dident touch the ball much couldnt . ak fires it up every time he touches it and misses i might add. or throws it away before he can get a shot. i guess they are all wore down.
Team unity seems to be the problem. I see the cause as either, or all, of the following:
Williams as a team leader.
Negatism on the part of coach.
One or more players causing the team to disintegrate.
A team meeting seems to be needed to sort out the problems.
The coach is not going to change. Your call.
Problem players should be benched and moved out ASAP.
It looks like more players would like to touch the ball more than once or twice a game. So when they get the ball, they shoot, or it is so unexpected they turn it over. I don't know if that is a Williams choice or a coach's choice.
Who was playing and producing when they had twelve wins in a row? It might be well to look back and take note.
Losing to a team that had seven players and not even in the playoffs is the most embarrasing loss I have ever witnessed.
If you are never going to pass the ball to the first cutter to the basket, and you are going to pass the ball four or five times every possession, the opposition will take advantage.
Does Jerry not get that every team in the league has a field day when they play the Jazz with respect to shooting three's? Enough of playing the odds of the three versus something easier inside. We cannot rotate to the shooters! This is embarassing fella's. Someone needs to tell our HOF coach that anyone who get's paid to play BB is probably a fairly good shooter.Memo's defense stinks!Boozer needs to go, and AK needs a meal!
I am with number one jazz fan. Boozer's on ball screens on the pick and roll are ridiculous! How does Sloan not notice his. Dallas, San antonio, and now golden state penetrated and got to the hole all night long. All boozer does on those ball screens is stick out his hand instead of putting his body in front of the opponent. Sloan and his assistants must be blind if they don't see this.
1- Bring up Koufos from the D league. NOW. deactivate Collins and give Koufos his roster spot.
2- Bring Fes and Koufos into the regular rotation with orders to block every shot that is taken around the paint.
3- Sit Knight and bring in RONNIE PRICE. We need energy and Price has more than anyone on the team. He is also one of the best defenders we have.
4- Sit Boozer and Kirilenko. They were not there during the 12 game losing streak either. They both destroy the team chemistry because of their selfish demands.
The rest of the changes can wait until the off season. There is alot that needs to happen with this team and organization starting with the G.M. and coaching positions. Balls in your court now Greg.
This was absolutely the worst game of the season between the Jazz and Golden State. NO ONE on the Jazz showed up except Deron Williams and he can't do it all alone. I see how they give him as little help as possible. He gets stuck in no man's land more than not and has to fight his own way out.
I hope Coach Sloan ripped them a new one over this loss. No defense, no nothing=another loss.
How can you say Williams showed up when Watson went for 38 points. Most posts are about offensive stats. The problem is defensive, not offense.
I've been watching the Jazz since I first knew what basketball was and this has got to be the most rididculous loss I've witnessed. They lost to a team that hadn't even won 30 games WITH their starters and now we lose to them AT HOME when they only had 7 players available. I've never been less proud of being a Jazz fan than I am right now. It's almost the exact same team as last year and it looks completely different. Lots of changes need to be made. Some guys are already on vacation. Where's the defensive effort? What happened to trying to get the ball inside for easier shots? What happened to Sloan getting after players for not putting out any effort? I appreciate what Sloan has done for the franchise but it's time that he goes. We need some new, not over-paid players and a new coach who won't allow lazy defense. O' Connor, make it happen.
D-Will should take the rest of the season off.
Wait. What rest of the season?
must defend their lines or they loose.
Men who play basket ball either defend the lines or they loose too. Seems elememtry. We should have benched those non defenders. their scoring means little if they refuse to fight. Oh well, what will be will be.
Excellent point Miles. I saw some clips from the game and there wasn't anything good about the way they where defending the pick-n-roll, it has been the same for several games now and it is the biggest piece of evidence that this team is completely fractured.
I must have seen 5 seperate instances were Watson just came off the pick and scored.
Williams was letting himself get picked, even if you are switching everything that is a bad thing because the picker can just pin you and totally take you out of the play. If you are getting picked you either have to fight through and follow your man over the top (staying within arms length) or jump low and get between the ball and the basket, D-will wasn't doing either.
While that was going on the rest of the team is just waving their arms and watching. If the defender guarding the picker allows the guy with the ball to take his first step off the screen towards the basket he is dead. Okur and Boozer, especially Okur, let that happen every time.
Just a horrible effort, Kobe is going to destroy them.
you guys know nothing about basketball then. Deron was getting beat or they set moving screens on him when he tried to fight over. And when he goes under no one helps! And miles hahah all he does is shoot the ball nothing else. You wanna talk about derons D look at your man crush's D. Deron Cannot do it alone. its a team effort on defense and everyone blames deron lol brevin knight got beat too. And for you to be a CJ Lover and saying deron got beat thats hilarious. Take a look at your boys D then talk!
