...is advertising, not the news, per se.
How quaint, then, that our intrepid reporter feels it necessary to put the word impression in quotation marks.
How much better it would be if the reporter would have explained that an 'impression' is one of the ways that ads and public relations are measured and tracked.
Because when a reporter 'puts' a word in quotation marks it often implies an ironic 'meaning.'
Ongoing kudos to Leigh and her staff. Utah's tourism efforts are a perfect example of the importance of making an investment to realize a gain. Utah's marketing efforts will result both in an increase in taxes paid to the State of Utah by folks from outside our state and an increase of jobs. I'm also impressed that Utah continues to promote a wide variety of tourism experiences. I live in Southern Utah and understand that "windshield" tourism... those folks who just drive by to look at pretty things... typically generate lower paying jobs in motels and restaurants while attracting tourists to a destination to experience the outdoors through activities like skiing, atv tours and such has a much greater impact. This kind of marketing sophistication comes from the guidance of experienced professionals and we are fortuaate to have the leadership of the best.
Thank Goodness Obama Stopped The Drilling.
