The baby was perhaps sent to Canada.

Considering the way mothers, fathers, and children are separated from each other and "assigned" at the whims of FLDS leaders, it doesn't sound like they know what real family life is like.

This girl and her baby will disappear back into the lions' den of immorality.

what did the mother do?

Just exactly what did the mother of this baby DO to warrant an investigation by CPS? A baby born to a child in foster care does NOT become an automatic ward of the state of Texas. The MOTHER of the child has to commit some kind of abuse ...... This 17 year old mother has committed no crime against her child. Why is CPS even involved?

Unwed vs. young-wed mothers. The state takes care of the unwed and intrudes on the rights of the young-wed polygamists.

Once upon a time, marriages were performed w/o licenses and were mostly done in churches. Then we had VD to worry about and states got involved. Now states have to decide about gay marriages and monogamy. What ever happened to blood tests? And isn't AIDS the test all unwed gays should have to take? Once the state is involved it can't get uninvolved.

While we are testing/intruding...why not test for IQ? Ever heard of eugenics, Mary Stanger, founder of Planned Parenthood? Aborting the babies from the less-educated unwed mothers is such a noble place for federal funding.

Too bad fetuses in paradise can't mail in their ballots. They have seen the long arm of government...it was the only arm they ever saw.
Perhaps they would have the wisdom to cut it off.

All these FLDS people ever do is tell one lie after another. Who knows what to believe with FLDS when they are all programed to lie their entire life.

Just happy for the girl

and her baby. Hopefully now they can be together again and spend some time bonding.

If this was a man refusing to obey the court, there would be a warrant out for his arrest.

don't keep sweet

This just reinforces the notion held by FLDS leaders and leaders of other groups that they are above the law.

"And isn't AIDS the test all unwed gays should have to take?" Aids being transmitted through only gay sexual contact is a myth. There are lots of heterosexuals who have aids. It is transmitted through bodily fluid contact so anyone can get it.

Its sad to see that the FLDS are getting away with this. That girl should have a warrant out for her arrest. She went against court orders and even lied when she brought in a different baby. She broke the law and she should be punished for it. This is not about the custody battle this is about her breaking the law. CPS should see this as an indication that the baby is in danger. If the girl did what she was asked to do by the courts then she would not have to worry about having the baby taken away.

The girl was never accused of committing child abuse herself so CPS had no jurisdiction over her child.

More special treatment!

In the "real" word, she would have been arrested for contempt of court and kidnapping.

No wonder the cult is such a problem! It has the support of the government!

Texas CPS wears their hypocracy on their shirt-sleeves every time they complain about the FLDS situation, yet refuse to lock-down high schools and sieze all the children when 14 and 15-year-old girls wind up in them, pregnant.

Surely they need to lock down the entire high schools to make sure everyone is safe, eh? Or what's the differentce? I don't get it.
