Chastied Chrysler

Hey you dumb Democrats! Hardly anyone wants to buy the cars you are trying to dictate car companies make! The reason Chrysler makes these cars is because people WANT them! The majority of America isn't quite ready to bow down to your dicates yet! But don't be discouraged, there is another sucker born every minute who thinks you know what is best for them and will sell their soul for a "free" lunch or welfare check!

ha

no wonder they are broke...we live in a backwards world...think rationally, then do the opposite and you will fit in.

Marketer

How dare they go over the head of the all knowing Obama? The one who knows the best marketing strategy the one who knows what is best for each of us. And, the one who will now fire another GM for going over his head. The wantabe dictator of us all.

Without Jeep, Chrysler would have been out of business years ago. They are the most profitable and most in demand vehicles. Hybrid sales have dropped much more than big car sales have. The government will put the companies out of business if they dictate what cars that are to be made. Lower their cost structures and focus on quality and the car companies will survive.

Buck Beaver

If you want a big vehicle and don't have a problem with the upkeep or gas prices, by all means, buy one. If not, buy something else. The USA is a comsumer/capitalist driven nation. It will be a cold day in hades before I let the government, conservative or liberal, dictate what kind of car I buy or drive. Let the car companies sink or swim while I enjoy the vehicle I want.

Good job Chrysler

Way to think outside the box, guys! I'm sure that whatever got you into this mess, more of the same will get you out.

While I am sure that Chrysler is correct about the popularity of the Jeep Grand Cherokee platform, it is very poor planning indeed, to go to a car show at this critical time, unprepared to show significan technological improvements and choices for fuel efficient vehicles.

Come on, Chrysler. You are proving Obama right when he says that you are not doing enough to have a good recovery plan in place. Get your act together. It is sink or swim. Your current strategy only results in continued decrease in market share. Break status quo.

Gas Guzzler???

Since when is a vehicle that gets 20 mpg considered a gas guzzler??? It's not.

big john

I drive a big merc (old fart car) & I pay for what I drive & obama can not tell me what I can or cannot drive. how about that 3 ton caddy that hauls him around ?gas guzzler ,you bet & we pay for it.

Spazzcat

I will always buy the largest, heaviest, vehicle I can afford. I don't care that much about the gas mileage - I just want to know that if my family gets in an accident they will have a greater chance of survival over someone in a pregnant roller skate.

7xdown

Hey,
I'm still waiting for the day they have a hybrid work truck I can afford! In the mean time, I'll drive my rusty old dodge to the job site and pay more for gas, but less in payment to the bank.
