This proves again that the only good reason for war is freedom! There are things worth fighting and dying for after all!

I think it's the women who are going to have to rise up and put a stop to this stupidity. They are treated worse than cattle. This sharia law should be a crime against humanity worldwide.

It is all part of that wonderful religion. It is pretty futile for us to try to change it.

When our own nation has reformed itself, from abortion, fornication, adultery, homosexuality, gender bias, violence, drunkenness, gluttony, widespread drug addiction etc etc, maybe then we can feel authorised to go into other nations with guns blazing until they pretend to submit to our agendas.

Hard to see clearly just now who is worst.

Recently a RAND study showed that a society's stability depends on it's treatment of women. If sharia law is not removed or at least made more liberal any government that we set up will fail and we'll have to go back.
duties of the wife | 9:51 a.m. April 7, 2009
This article doesnt seem so strange, particularly when it talked about duties of the wife." I can think of a few Christian religions that lays it out for women. Lets see: obedience to the husband, sex, having children, making sure the house is cleaned, having breakfast/lunch/dinner ready, it is a man's right to tell woman where to go and what to do, no choice, less educated (or cant continue their education).

You must be kidding. I've heard of the theory but the practice is the opposite now.

It is assumed, I guess, that women of don't like sex at all; husbands never make meals, men cannot have or retain children, men never clean the house. Tell women what to do? That's a good one!
laws vs religion | 6:14 p.m. April 7, 2009
I'm not sure exactly which christian religions oppress women that badly. I'm sure that their are many households where it applies. But the difference is, is that woman can get a divorce and get rid of the tyrant. Our countries laws say so. She can walk away without fear of imprisonment. Over there, they want to make this the law. Not just someones wacky religion which someone over here can walk away from.

Stop living in the dark ages. Most "modern" - whether religious or not - cultures now don't find rape and slavery of women to their husbands the norm. I guess you're going to have to make your own sandwiches from now on.

P.S. I left the vacuum in the closet for you.
