Great Messages and the music selection was fabulous!!!
Morality! Not values dictacted by the world. We must understand REAL values given to us by GOD! We thank thee o God for a prophet to guide us in these Latter-Days!
Along with other great recent talks by our leaders (i.e. President Faust on Forgiveness in April 2007, President Monson's Enjoying the Journey), Elder Holland's words and counsel on the Savior will be long remembered. What a wonderful and uplifting Conference.
Nothing new, just be who we are supposed to be, keep your covenants, be missionary minded, and have faith! Personally Fear is of Satan, and Faith is of God! Just as Light of Christ and the evils of darkness! Do your best do be the best you can be and lift others!!! It's pretty straight forward.
Elder Holland's talk was the single best talk I have ever heard in my life.
I agree with Old Dude--Elder Holland's talk was superb. He always blows me away! He is an amazing writer, and his pertinent and timely messages cut to the core of our hearts.
I have been in this church all my life. I am still amazed and humbled by the fact that the messages will enlighten and lift me in new ways. The talk on the Savior was one of the most amazing talks I have evcr heard. Sure I know the story - but to really try to think about it. The Savior was the only one who could save us. He could have stopped. He could have said enough. But he suffered all of it.
It really turned me from thinking - help me, feel sorry for me, my life is hard etc. to how can I ever be grateful enough. I think I have a little sense of how Nephi was feeling when he felt so weak and human - only to be followed by his joy in Jesus Christ.
Inspired messages for a troubled time. I am glad there is a steady hand at the helm of the church and the Lord's work.
The talk on Debt from Elder Hales needs to be downloaded on everyone's I-Pod ASAP. And then follow the counsel.
A really Good Conference!!
I agree that Elder Holland's talk was superb.
Definitely A++ work!!
President Monson's Sunday Morning talk also was
superb, keeping "perspecitve" in mind as we (as
a society) hit a rough patch economically and in other ways. As Pres. Monson brought up, those of the past had Even Bigger Challenges, Disappointments, and Trails during their lives and they just kept on going......
Always enjoy the "Spiritual Re-Charge" that comes
from watching and listening and getting involved
with the messages of the Conferences.
I loved Sister Thompson's comment about her visit to her neice's house in Idaho, when the three year old girl Brooklyn blessed her Bishop's eyes because they where broken.
Was absolutely POWERFUL again. President Uctdorf spoke with such power and faith that I felt if he had told Ensign Peak to remove itself to the middle of the Great Salt Lake it would have happened!
Priesthood Session: Did you hear Pres. Uchtdorf this morning too? So powerful. I am a female so missed the Priesthood Session. Glad he spoke today. I loved Elder Holland's talk too. Of course, I am simply transported when Pres. Monson speaks - always have been. I agree that it is a great "re-charge" to help me want to be better and do better. I agree that it really put the Savior's suffering and sacrifice in perspective to realize again that He had to do the emotional distance from Heavenly Father just as we have to work to bridge that distance by our actions and through his infinite atonement. I am so grateful for this church and all that it represents and that I am a part of it!!!!
Much has been said and written about hope. The Book of Mormon talks a great deal about hope. It has been said that the Book of Mormon was written for our day! Is that because in the ever darkening last days, we will need more hope? Hope is the precursor and prerequisite of faith. How much we rely on hope. Hope is why I love the Gospel, it fills me with hope! Hope for myself, hope for my family, hope for life, hope for the eternities. Hope for the human race. Hope for a better world. Hope is the greatest of all ideas to me! Without it, life has no meaning. The opposite of hope is despair. "I hope"is a marvelous thing to say and to have hope is a powerful, deep and rich thing! In this conference, my hope has been renewed!
WATCHED CONFERENCE ONLINE, WHAT A WONDERFUL CONFERENCE. I LEARNED SEVERAL THINGS I NEED TO IMPROVE FOR MYSELF TO BE HAPPIER. I LOVE CONFERENCE!
My Favorite and powerful talk was from Jeffrey R Holland , Amazing.. Second one was from Russel M Ballard's.Dont you people agree that all the problems that we are facing right now is part of the cycle which has been foretold by the earlier prophets in the bible , Book of Mormon.
I know that Lord lives and i am So greatful to be in this true and living church.
I Love the Prophet.
I watched online, too. We need such leaders in these days. I love T.S.Monson, but I still miss G.B.Hinkley. ( I think Pres. Monson would say the same thing.) And thumbs up to our newest Apostle.
Such a wonderful shining light in a dark world. We thank thee, oh God, for a prophet to guide us in these latter days.
What an awesome conference!
What would the world do without these special men? Thank goodness they are here to protect us from evil. The world would truly suffer if the church did not exist.
