The schools cannot and should not be the sole source of education for teens about human sexuality. The entire community - churches, youth groups, physicians, and most importantly parents - need to step up to the plate and be good communicators and role models. Our society needs to create a culture of premarital abstinence. It would help a great deal if our youth heard a unified voice that abstinence is expected from all forms of communication including the media. Media and advertising producers should take some responsibility for the messages they send. Our kids are watching and listening.
