Pignanelli & Webb: When Utah receives 4th District, how will it shape up?
8 comments | Read story
Only hired political fixers like Webb and Pig prefer districts to better manipulate their game of two-party patty cake.
Proportional representation would allow a constituency of 20 percent of voters to elect one of the four representatives, no matter where they live in Utah.

We need a Republican Member in the House that has the ability and desire to actually do something instead of being the Representatives of 'No.'
We have Bishop who sits around and waits to gauge the political risk before he moves and Chaffetz who's clearly more focused on his PR than he is about doing something. Neither is a leader, especially Chaffetz. At least Bishop has original ideas, Chaffetz worries about his far right constituency and pleasing that element more than being effective and relevant in DC.
I hope he runs.
For those people that think Matheson votes with the republican's most of the time, they are wrong.
Obviously, some think that is good. I am glad both Chaffetz and Bishop break away from a straight party vote.

For 2012:
I like Doug Wright for the 2nd district, Bishop should be able to get the 1st, Chaffetz get the 3rd and I am not sure who would get the 4th.
For US senate, 2010, I think it will be Mike Lee against Matheson, with Lee wining.
2012 will be Shurtleff against Herbert for Governor.
I don't think Hatch will run in 2012. Morgan Philpot would be interesting.
Both Mitt Romney and Huntsman will run for Pres.
I wouldn't vote for Rocky for anything unless the republicans fielded some real losers.
What about Ken Jennings?
