Jimmy buffet once said 'some people claim that there's a woman to blame but I know it's my own damned fault'. Don't blame the geeks. Or even the flimflam artists. Look out for yourself, be aware of and in the world, and they will not fool you.

Why can't we go back to the good old days when a bank made a loan and put it on their books? Now they package it up and sell it off to Fannie and Freddie and chop it up and package it up and sell it off to unknowing investors and sell credit default swaps to bet on whether the loans will actually pay off. Crazy world.
