Pleasant Grove is ready to challenge for the top of region 4.
I predict this team will reach 10-0 and that means they will beat Spanish and Lehi in their next two games. The last time they played Spanish they knocked them off and they will sweep the Don's this season.
They have a nice win over Murray 3-2 the same team we dominated 8-2.
Keep it up Mik!
Congrats to Coach Gillman. He was awesome at Lehi and was the reason why that school turned the program around. He's got the "Midas Touch."
I was wondering how Pitcher Raven King could be only a junior this year when she played high school ball in the year of 2006. That would have to make her a senior this year? I am confused.
I know this is a little late as a response, but Raven King moved to Utah from California in 2006. Her freshman year was Fall 06 to Spring 07, sophomore 07-08, junior 08-09. This is her third year on varsity with Lone Peak softball and she also played soccer all three years where she has been All-State honorable mention as a keeper for two years. She's actually a much better softball player than soccer keeper (and that's saying something), but nobody knows you exist when your team can't make the play-offs... to the victor goes the spoils and it's no coincidence that the highest forms of recognition go to players on championship teams. Not a complaint, just recognition that a lot of very talented players in all sports go unrecognized on losing teams each season. Raven admits she is one of the lucky ones in soccer largely due to Lone Peak's winning record. Conversely, recognition has been much harder to come by in softball. But you play for the love of the game, right? But back to the question: Raven graduates in May 2010.
