Great spring photograph. I love the irony. The black added enough contrast to hold the composition together. Even from warm California I can feel the cold in this image.

Come see us in July when you can leave your house without your shoes sticking to the pavement - cause thats better right?
Both Sides of Global Warming | 12:24 p.m. April 1, 2009
I love how we have both sides of the extremist views about Global Warming in here... Global Warming will help, and if Global Warming doesn't stop we are all going to freeze to death.

The truth is, if earth heats up, we will get more snow (more evaporation of water at the ocean = more precipitation). If we get more snow, earth will cool down because more of the sun's energy will be reflected from the snowy white mountains. True, high elevation climates will have more snow, but the overall temperature of Earth is not going to change by much.

The point is: we are not going to be able to heat up or cool off the earth because we are, as God designed, the proper distance from the sun for life to exist.

Ignorance of what global warming means astounds me. It isn't that the world is so much warmer that we will burn to death and it will never snow. Instead it just means that we are on average a couple of degrees warmer. Just enough to melt polar ice caps which changes weather patterns. The result of changing weather patterns.... huge snow storms in april; stronger and more frequent hurricanes; and yes maybe even longer, hotter summers. It is a fact that the globe is a little warmer on average and that the polar ice caps are melting. Not some liberal conjecture.

Thank goodness for GLOBAL WARMING, just imagine how cold and snowy it would really be, if it wasn't warming so fast!
Maybe study... | 12:34 p.m. April 1, 2009
Whether you agree that global warming is happening or not, at least get the facts straight. Global warming means that some places will be colder than usual too... Basically any weather that is unusual can be linked to increased pollution is the premise. So, I'd recommend you look into that rather than sounding uneducated.
God? | 12:43 p.m. April 1, 2009
Thats the problem with this world the God? Santa Clause is real to. get over this God thing.

I actually invented global warming.

Signed,

Al Gore

p.s. make sure my royalties for the internet keep coming.

4/1 !
Well....... | 1:18 p.m. April 1, 2009
Get used to it people, its supposed to rain and snow for the next 10 days! Aloha! :)
Love Snow | 1:18 p.m. April 1, 2009
This snow is absolutely gorgeous! I have always loved it. The skiing season is prolonged. The world looks like it has cake frosting on it. Delicious! My little Buddha statue has a pile of snow on his head with ameythist crystals in his prayer hands peeking out of the snow. Buddha was much at home in the Himalayan snows.

@God? Sorry you are too blind to get this "God thing". Blessings to you, may your eyes be opened.
Maybe study it even farther back | 1:24 p.m. April 1, 2009
It is a scientific fact that the earth goes through heating and cooling phases, It has nothing to do with carbon gases, that is a myth, that your famous Al Gore would have you believe, He isn't a scientific scholar! He won't even accept a debate with well known scientists, because he knows he doesn't have well known facts to back his rhetoric!
gotta love the freaks | 1:31 p.m. April 1, 2009
who come on here to 'Educate' us all on Global warming.

Get a life and laugh for once!! Ever heard of sarcasm?
The expert | 1:36 p.m. April 1, 2009
Al Gore with NOBEL PIECE PRIZE what a joke it was! It was his fault for the global warming. All those lights he put in to his home cause it.
Mike | 1:55 p.m. April 1, 2009
Isn't this why they stopped saying global warming and started saying "Climate Change"? What a joke.
Study | 2:38 p.m. April 1, 2009
"Global warming means that some places will be colder than usual too."

The word 'global' denotes that it involves the entire earth. The entire earth has to be warming for us to have truely have "global" warming. So to have places that are, in fact, cooling would be contracdictory to the defintion of global warming.

Look, the human population could do more to better the earth. But I find this global warming pill a little hard to swallow.
Peace | 2:40 p.m. April 1, 2009
RE: The expert: I think you meant Peace instead of Piece.

RE: Maybe Study: So is that why it is called climate change? By the way it is alot easier to prove when you look at it that way, because the climate of course is always changing. I don't doubt that pollution is bad, but I think all the scare tactics are a little overboard. I little more snow might be good for Utah.

Re: God? God is real and is the only reason you are living. Ya, global warming, I mean Climate Change might kill us all. If it does, I still think God gave us a pretty sweet deal to be able to live here for awhile.

Re: Gotta love the Freaks. You nailed it!
are the roads still closed? | 3:12 p.m. April 1, 2009
any updates?
Oh No | 3:26 p.m. April 1, 2009
We're all gonna die!!!

April fools : )

Seriously, this global warming thing is tiresome. We definitely need to take care of the place where we are living or bad things will happen. I think those that follow global warming are just trying to tell us to take care of the earth.
BAB | 3:56 p.m. April 1, 2009
When we go back into our original orbit, what will Gore say about that? Of course he has no clue about the days of Peleg and the land all coming back together like it was originally. Hang on for the ride, those of you who will be left!
dennis | 4:36 p.m. April 1, 2009
you all just need to go see Knowing, the new flick with Nicholas Cage in it. that will help to figure out the need for this global warming.
Albert Gore | 5:07 p.m. April 1, 2009
Warming has been happening for over 10,000 years. Most of us live where polar ice caps used to be.

Al Gore has just sold a lot of books pretending that it just started in the past few decades. Interesting that since election day he has not been on the TV complaining about it. Guess the world is cooling down since the inauguration and he can sit at the beach sunning himself while crunching on shaved ice.
Global freezing | 5:59 p.m. April 1, 2009
Sell those papers, get those government handouts, scream passionately with a straight face, it's time for another made up headline: GLOBAL FREEZING !!!

I could stand for some snow right now. We're running the AC constantly already.
st george | 10:05 p.m. April 1, 2009
you dont have to worry about snow down here, all you have to worry about is what time your tee time is at one of our lovely golf courses.

Today 70 degrees and not a cloud in the sky. Another boring day in paradise. Of course we have no water.
True Blue in Tahiti | 12:05 a.m. April 2, 2009
Sunshine today with 90 degree temperatures... can't say I miss those spring snow storms. I think I'll go fishing now... hahaha!
