"Competitive edge" Brother Huntsman when it comes to mobility? How about living within our means and avoiding more debt? You will leave office in a few years, but don't leave Utah saddled with debt!
Indenturing Utahn's to taxing and bonding is not the intent of stimulous funds, not to mention the millions that will be diverted to other than bonding for a single reason. Using bonding to add to the state budget is pure misuse of taxation. Will the governor guarantee that these bonds will not be used for paying developers on private business projects? Defitnetly not.
Bangerter, Leavitt, Matheson, and Rampton would never have signed this type of bill. They would have never mortgaged Utah's future in the way HUntsman just did. They would have avoided the debt load that will be placed upon Utah's children. I hope that the govenor will bring pleny of new business into the state to offset this terrible idea. I want people put back to work as much as the next guy but not like this.
What interest rate are we paying for the bonds?
