Send Hall to the bakery for some more turn-overs!!!
Actually, we want him to start, because it will just enhance our chances for another win over the kittens......next year.
Sorry Cougs, but your BIG BROTHERS up north are just plain better then EWE!!!!

Jersey Color

Hall through an interception on his first pass. Wow, who saw that coming? He never throws interceptions. NOT!

He seems to like all those nice people wearing different color jerseys. Doesn't like to discriminate. A real renaissance man.

Keep it up Max. Your doing great!

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Max Hall throwing

interceptions??!! That never happens!!!

Coaching clinic? Maybe scouting preview.

BYU's offense is pretty predictable already. Why teach other teams their "second option" in their play book.

Their coaches arent in great demand so why would their system want to be copied? I wonder how much time BYU will spend on teaching their first 4 priorities of the football program?

What I would like to know is what coaching clinics BYU coaches are going to attend. May I suggest Boise State so that BYU can learn to be creative in offense.

Defense, how about going to TCU or Utah. Ya, maybe that wouldnt help. We cant recruit their type of players.

They could, of course, learn from TCU and Utah how to get up for big games including bowl games. Game preparation should include more than "execute better and asking players if they put in their individual film study time".

Maybe consult with a pro coach on how to get the most out of slow white guys (less talent). Of course, he will say a " serious practise" wouldnt hurt and neither would make winning a priority.

Anyway, I bet is was fun for all those coaches to get together. Good times all around.

haha.

Looks like Hall picked up right where he left off...

Put in Riley...

Max has lost it.

Seriously

Seriously, who says "NOT" anymore? The 90s ended nearly a decade ago.

Yeah, Utah QBs never throw INTs in practice sessions.

Winning not a priority? If I'm not mistaken, among the top priorities in BYU football is conference championships. You don't get them if you don't win. Well, if you're Utah BB then you can lose to D-II teams and still share the championship, I guess.

Put in Riley? Are you kidding? Max Hall has led BYU to two 10+ win seasons. Put in the transfer from UTAH STATE? Okay. Take your pills and go to bed now.

Ute fans

Why do you care anyway? I wonder how your starting quarterback is...oh wait...you don't have one yet.

I DO hope when Max said, "just as good or better than last year" he meant "better than last year."

I'm NOT a MAX HALL Fan!

Well, I'm sure that all this means that our DEFENSE is freaking amazing this year, because anyone who can STOP Max Hall, must be overly intimidating! I hope there is some competition for QB!

Doman, remember, they almost looked over you too! Let's see if there is someone with some heart lurking around behind Max!

Riley

Look on the bright side Cougar faithful, a year from now you'll be able to put all your hope into a 5' 9'' QB. And with luck, faith, prayer, and fasting, maybe he'll hit another growth spurt and add another inch.

I can see the offensive line coach now, teaching them to squat down to help let little Riley throw over the top. And maybe they'll teach him how to jump when he throws.

That's ok, there's always the firesides to keep you happy.

Bystander

Perhaps some people who make comments should learn how to spell correctly and then their comments would be taken a little more seriously.

Searce

Learn to spell, yes. Maybe Utah does not teach that at their school. Re: Jersey Color - threw, not through, and you're, not your.

There are no smart comments

. . .on these posts. Sometimes I honestly wonder why I still read these.

Utah is open!!!
4th and 18!!!

Duuurrrr.

How old are you, anyway?

Re: There are no smart comments

If your so far above everybody else, then I'm sure you can find other things to occupy your elite brain rather than stooping to our level by taking the time to add a comment.

Please forgive us, your grand excellency.

Ute fans need to get a life. I'm a cougar fan, but do I spend my saturday and sunday reading articles on the Utes and making lame comments on their spring practices? No! We'll see what happens on the field.

Re: Anonymous | 9:36 a.m.

You might not comment on Utah articles but plenty of your friends do. See you in November.

I'm pleased...

it looks like ute fans are finally learning to read and write. When will the learn to think?

News flash: Whitt will only dress thirty players this fall. The rest are learning to dress themselves!

Feedback

I haven't decided how I feel about the cancellation of the spring Blue and White game. I think its a great tradition and am a little upset I wont be able to see it this year. But if that means more time to get players ready and even prep for Oklahoma, as I have read in one report or another, than I am all for it. This is a huge game and needs to be treated with the proper preparation and effort. Oklahoma is going to be gunning for us we need to be ready for it. Good luck.

It's the same every spring. Practices are structured to give the advantage to the offense and defense on alternating days. This helps both sides to stay motivated and develop confidence at the same time. The next day the offense will have a big day, then the defense will shut them down on the following day. It's nothing to get overly excited or worried about. It's just the way the practices are structured.
