Dining out: Sampan

Sampan has disappointed every time. Our favorite Chinese place in the Salt Lake Valley, and worth driving the 18 miles for, Ocean City across from the Cottonwood Mall site. I hope this doesn't go the way of the TGI Fridays across the street. Great food, great service.

I haven't been to many Chinese restaurants. I've heard great things about Ocean City, but Sampan remains my favorite. They have great food and great service (when I've been there). Who knows? Maybe if I tried Ocean City, I'd change my mind. I'm sorry that the first person to comment was disappointed in Sampan.

The Mandarin in Bountiful is another restaurant worth driving for.

I love the new J Wong Bistro, located across from the Salt Palace Convention Center on 200 South in the Patrick Lofts Condo building, and the Tangerine Chicken is one of my favorites! It is definitely not the "wong" place to eat!
