Fantastic Selection! I've known Mike Johnson for more than 16 years. He is a consumate professional who truly cares about our children and their ability to compete in an increasingly challenging global economy. He will absolutely make a positive contribution to the State School Board.
We don't need any more Edubureaucrats who only look out for themselves. They don't really care about students as much as the $$dollars they can squeeze out the taxpayer. As a puppet of the Communistic UEA and NEA, he says he is not a proponent of vouchers. That is only because it will help reduce the number of kids which in turn reduces the amount of per student funding they get. HMMM, lower class size or lose money? YOU CAN'T HAVE IT BOTH WAYS!!
The Utah State Senate would do an injustice by confirming Johnson. We need balance on the State School Board, like another Dave Thomas! Of course, leave it to our "two fingers in the wind" Guv who is now pandering to the Edubureaucrats and UEA. He sure didn't campaign five years ago that way.
