It is outrageous that so many immigrants are coming here for the purpose of violating the law. This is a huge burden on the legal system and the courts, to say nothing about what it does to the victims. There was a time when this Country did everything it could to make sure that immigrants shared the old fashioned values that made this Country great: honesty, loyalty, and respect for the law.
But the liberals told me that the illegal immigrants are all law abiding? Who is right, the court records or the liberals?
The main idea of the article is not that "immigrants are coming here for the purpose of violating the law." The article clearly indicates that the reason statistics appear to show an increase in felonies by illegal immigrants is because of an increase in enforcement of immigration law. In the 90s, it wasn't that popular to arrest and deport illegal immigrants, but ever since the immigrant rights riots of 2006, the number of deportation raids has gone up dramatically. I wonder if that was due to public fear, and resulting pressure.
